  1. My fashion icon has got to be Jessica from the blog 'my inner need to create'. Although she makes clothes for her kids, they are so easy to translate into adult clothing and they are just SO individual :-)

  2. My fashion icon would definitely be Rhianna. I like the rocker chic look.

    ReplyDelete
  3. I'd say my blog fashion icon would be Leanne from "Elle Apparel" and my celebrity fashion icon would be Lauren Conrad. I love both of their light, fun, sophisticated styles!

    ReplyDelete
  4. I don't think I have a fashion icon. Can I pick you? :)

    ReplyDelete
  5. I'm not very "fashionable" per se, but the person I think of is Audrey Hepburn. She always looks so classy and beautiful.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I really love Reese Witherspoon's style! Classic, pulled together, and still on trend!

    ReplyDelete
  7. She's not really a fashion icon, but I've become obsessed with Peggy from mad men's transformation the past two seasons. Her clothes choices have really stepped it up along with her promotions and I love seeing what she wears each week :)

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  21. I don't think I have a fashion icon although I could probably use one. And I do love Pick Your Plum!

  22. It is fun reading everyone's responses - I love Zoe Deschanel, Audrey Hepburn, Anne Hathaway, Grace Kelly, and on and on and on. My personal style is pretty casual, I love how Kate Hudson makes simple pieces feel glam and how Nicole Kidman has aged so gracefully over the years - she just always looks amazing. My icon for the challenge is Andre 3000 - since I was sewing for a boy and not me ;o)

    ReplyDelete
  23. I love Jennifer Aniston. I think it is her hair. But everything she wears looks amazing on her.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I don't really have a fashion icon but I agree with the others, Kate Middleton and Reese Witherspoon, they are awesome!

    ReplyDelete

  28. As a SAHM, I love the fashion blogs I-candy and Elle Apparel. If I were to leave to the work force-love the Mad Men style. Children's apparel, Me Sew Crazy for blogs and for commercial-Chasing Fireflies.

  29. My fashion icon?! For craft and spacial fashions I love Martha Stewart (hate her for making it look sooo easy - mine never look as nice). For clothing?! I would have to say my Aunt Maurene. She has taught me so much about looking classy, comfortable and the value in good quality clothing and service!

    ReplyDelete
  30. I don't have one either but I'm working on defining my style :)

    ReplyDelete
  31. I honestly don't really have a fashion icon. I just try to wear what I like and what looks good on me and my body type. I do love Pick your Plum though!

    ReplyDelete
  32. I don't exactly have a fashion icon, but I think my 10-year-old daughter has the most amazing eye for fashion. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  33. Coco Chanel has always been my favorite. Her designs are so practical and beautiful.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I have a very simple aesthetic, but I try to put an elegant spin on it. So, I'd say that Audry Hepburn is my style icon. Thank you for the amazing giveaway! I'm crossing my fingers. :)

    ReplyDelete
  35. My fashion icon is a mix between the classicness of Audrey Hepburn, the modernness of Victoria Beckham, and the fun spunky style of Zooey Deschanel.

    ReplyDelete
  36. My (fictional)fashion icon is Emma Pillsbury from Glee.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Zooey Deschanel is my style Icon, i love how its always full of whimsy!

    ReplyDelete
  38. I really like Zoey D. also. I guess she would be the closest thing to an icon, because I don't know anyone that wears jeans and a t-shirt everyday or pajamas.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Fashion icon? I don't really have one. I have admired Audrey Hepburn and Kate Middleton's feminine and well put-together wardrobes though.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Jackie Kennedy and Audrey Hepburn. I love vintage. Thank you!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Kate Middleton. I love how modest she is and how classy her clothes are. I'm sure it helps that she has the budget of a princess. :)

    ReplyDelete
  42. I don't know that I have a fashion icon. I am a jeans and t-shirt kinda girl, so I guess anyone who wears that is my fashion icon. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  43. Jackie O for sure! I'm not there yet, but I LOVE her class & style :)

    ReplyDelete
  44. Fashion icon? I throw together my own style- for better or worse!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Wow! I don't really have a fashion icon. I like being me......may not be fashionable but I am authentic.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Does Katie Holmes count!?! I think she is so cute!!

    ReplyDelete
  47. I LOVE Pick Your Plum!! What a great contest. My fashion icon hmmm...I'll have to agree with Kate from yesterday's post, I love the way Zooey Deschanel looks!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Fashion icon??? Probably my mom...she's classic but always with a little bit of trend fashion thrown in.

    ReplyDelete
  49. No fashion icon (my style is way more comfort and convenience over fashion, sadly!) but like lots of previous posters, I adore Zooey Deschanel's style. She's adorable!

    ReplyDelete
  50. I like to mix and match fashion. A top from one person, pants or a skirt from another!! I guess thats why I'm not winning any fashion awards!! LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  51. I don't really have one. I'm mostly a jeans and t-shirt gal.

    ReplyDelete
  52. My fashion Icon is a store, not a person. I love love Anthropologie - whoever their buyer is has amazing taste! I also love Pinterest for style inspiration; it gets me to try things I normally wouldn't style-wise.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I don't really have a fashion icon, but I do love Zooey Deschanel, and I also swoon over almost anything from Anthropologie & Mod Cloth.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I love following Jessica Quirk..she's so cute! (btw, I'm shocked at how many people mentioned that Zooey chick!)

    ReplyDelete
  55. I really don't follow fashion enough to really have an icon. Although after reading the other comments, I agree that Zooey Deschanel does wear really cute clothes!

  56. Jackie O--she never went wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Closest I get to a fashion icon is Elizabeth Bennett (pride and prejudice)

    ReplyDelete
  61. Does Target count as a fashion icon? I seem to love their v neck tees, some skinnies, and a cardigan... :)

    ReplyDelete
  62. I love that someone else already said Ellen DeGeneres, because even if it is weird, I totally love her style!

    ReplyDelete
  63. I'm completely unfashionable, so I don't really have one, but I agree that Kate Middleton always looks amazing.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Is it bad that I wish I was as put together as June Cleaver? I am way too casual though!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Don't really have one...Can I still enter?

    ReplyDelete
  66. I do not really have a fashion icon by name. I am very impressed with some women who are classified as overweight but yet look so dressed and so together that it is not even noticed. Being a bit overweight myself, I know how easy it is to put on something loose and baggy and comfy. Then I see someone who is much heavier than me just out food shopping and look so dressed and beautiful. Just makes me take note and be impressed.

    ReplyDelete
  67. As strange as it may be, my style icon would be my sister. She is always put together no matter what she is doing.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I love Uli (not sure how to spell it) from a long past season of Project Runway. Her aesthetic was awesome!!!

    ReplyDelete
  69. I think I'm too late?? But I do love Zooey! She's just so cute and flirty!

    ReplyDelete
  70. Pick Your Plum is one of my fave emails of the day and the reason for overspending many times :) However, they are not my fashion icon lol. I'd have to say, gosh it's hard to say. I admire so many different women and their style - Audrey Hepburn, Kate Middleton, Emma Pillsbury (i know she's not a real person but I like her clothes) and the J.Jill woman. The JJill woman wears all the clothes they have in their store and I love 99% of what they offer. Too bad my checkbook doesn't agree :)

There was no cut off date for comments - I hope I'm not too late!

  71. Every since I was little I have been in love with Jackie Kennedy's style. I used to dream of being a Kennedy, and was kind of obsessed with them. :o) Now, I am just obsessed with her style!

Oh, and I LOVE Pick Your Plum! I just ordered from there this morning!

    Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  72. I really like Katie Holmes' style. It is easy and fun and most importantly, practical for a busy mom of 3!

    ReplyDelete

    Allyson Prock

    ReplyDelete
  75. I'd have to say Michelle Obama. She always looks so fabulous!

    ReplyDelete
  76. I don't really have a style icon. I am loving reading everyone elses though, lot's of great ideas if I ever decide to get one!

    ReplyDelete
  77. I'd have to say Kate Middleton also. When she's wearing clothes of course ; ) Love Pick your Plum and I'd be so excited to win!

  78. I don't really have a fashion icon, I guess I'll have to work on that.

    ReplyDelete
  79. They are a little young but I adore Zoey Deschunel and Kate Middleton, but before them there was always Jackie O. :)

    ReplyDelete
  80. Mine would have to be Carrie from Sex in the City. I'm an old hippie and although I've left the kaftan and earth shoes behind I still like the individualism she has and the use of vintage and found fashion items put together with classic Gucci, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Fashion Icon. Hmm. Nadine (called Deni on the air) Wimmer on ksl news. :) I always comment on her outfits, and even my husband says, "Have you seen that necklace yet? Do you like that outfit?"

    ReplyDelete
  82. I don't have an icon, I have an era. 1948 through 1956. Clothes were at there height of femininity. The war was over and the restrictions on fabric were gone. the designers went wild with long sweeping skirts. I make my own clothes, so I buy vintage patterns and make thes dresses and skirts. So a period of time is my icon.
One of the first things I do when I get on the computer in the morning is check out Pick Your Plum
Thank you so much for the chance to win.

    ReplyDelete
  83. I'd have to say Zooey Deschanel. I love her style, but personally, I'm not gutsy enough to even try most of the things she wears. Honestly, I'm really a t-shirt and jeans with flip flops kind of girl. It's sad. But oh so comfy!

    ReplyDelete
  84. Probably Gywenth Paltrow. carrie dot hare at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  85. Chuck from Pushing Daisies. If someone doesn't make patterns for her dresses soon, I'm going to attempt it myself.

    anna [at] 64colorbox [dot] com

  86. I was going to say I don't really have a fashion icon, until I read the comment before mine. She's so right! I LOVE chuck from Pushing Daises. I had totally forgotten about her, since they didn't keep the show going even though it was great.... Anyway. I digress... Love pick your plum as well!

  87. I like Jennifer Anniston

  90. My fashion icon? Really hard to say. I am influenced by the Victorian era more than anything else.

    ReplyDelete
  91. I would have to say Jackie O. I love the classic style.

    ReplyDelete
  92. I am a tshirt and jeans kind of girl but if I had the money to emulate any specific person it would be Kate Middleton. Highly "wearable" styles and a classic look. She is so sophisticated and I would love to wear anything that she has! (Except maybe some of the hats, lol)

    ReplyDelete
  93. Right now, I would say Kate Middleton. However, I think in reality my style is a blend of alot of different fashion icons.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Audrey Hepburn for sure - so elegant.

    ReplyDelete
  95. I don't have an icon but love the 40's & 50's style.

    ReplyDelete
  96. I don't really have one but I do love how Jennifer Anniston dresses!

    ReplyDelete
  97. Definitely Audrey Hepburn, though I really don't dress like her most of the time...wish I did!

    ReplyDelete
  98. Hmmm, maybe Anne Hatheway or Reese Witherspoon, classic, clean, feminine.

    ReplyDelete
  99. kate middleton has amazing style!
