Designers: Where are they Now? Mandy from Sugar Bee Crafts

Hey Everyone - - I'm super excited about my month here on Project Run and Play - Where Are They Now! I loved participating! I'm Mandy, and I am still living it up in my corner of the blog world over at www.SugarBeeCrafts.com. Currently life is all-consumed with craziness, cause we're building our own house - - not like "let's pick out a wall color and tell the builder" but like "grab a hammer, we've got to build a house" - see, craziness. Last week we started to install our kitchen, so that was exciting:

For sneak peeks on building progress, you can follow along via Instagram (@SugarBeeCrafts). On top of that, I'm trying to walk readers through the self-build process on my blog in a Building Beyeler Hollow Series.

In other news, it's been fun to watch my blog grow and evolve - it just turned 6 and I still love all things creative, sewing, diy and blogging. And colorful!

I've been able to work with lots of fun brands and teams, including Riley Blake, Behr, Elmers, and Michaels. It's so fun to use creativity to represent brands I love. I recently spoke at a blog conference - another thing I love is sharing the awesomeness of blogging with others, so presenting about Building a Blogging Community was perfect.

Right now I'm SUPER excited to move in to our home (sometime soon, hopefully!) because for the past several months my sewing equipment has been packed away being as we're in transition. I can't wait to dig it out and start sewing, crafting, and creating!! For now, I reminisce about projects gone by, like these fun Color Run outfits I made for Project Run and Play (for the round I didn't make it to, doh!)

  1. Way cool! My husband and I worked through a prism to build our house with our own hands too. Pretty intense, but so worth it!
