We're thankful for: Blank Slate Patterns

Today we're so thankful for our sponsors, who make Project Run & Play rewarding!  We're starting with Blank Slate Patterns.  (And at the end of this post, you get another chance to enter the giveaway.)

Blank Slate Patterns is the brain child of Melissa who also blogs at Melly Sews.  Melissa has been a huge part of Project Run & Play and an avid supporter from the early days!  She was a contestant on Project Run & Play and shared her favorite challenge recently.  There's the time she was a guest judge for Boy's Week.  She's sponsored giveaways and prize packages over and over again!  She's sewed along with some of the challenges.

Blank Slate Patterns, true to the name, provide basic patterns that can be sewn as is for awesome basics, or a as building blocks for any design you can dream of!  Here's just a small sampling of how other designers have been inspired by Melissa and used a Blank Slate Pattern as a basis for one of their looks.

So you can see why we're so thankful for Melissa and Blank Slate Patterns!  Blank Slate Patterns is giving each giveaway winner a $25 gift certificate to spend at Blank Slate Patterns.  And now here's how you can help us say "Thank You!" to Melissa and Blank Slate Patterns.  Visit Blank Slate Patterns and check out all the children's patterns.  Then come back here and leave a comment about which is your favorite children's pattern.  That's it, you'll get another entry to Giveaway #1.

To find out everything that is included in the giveaways (over $600 of cool fabric and patterns!!!) be sure to check out yesterday's post and enter to win there too!

  2. The pocket pj's are cool. I'm just curious, does anyone know why in our society, if a male is wearing a sleeveless garment, it's considered casual, but most formal wear for females is sleeveless?

    1. Probably because historically women were on show either to shop for a husband, or to be the bauble on his arm.

  43. My first Blank Slate Pattern was the Lazy Day Pyjama's and I still love it. A lot of what I had to do was new, but it was easy because the instructions were good. They look like they'll be an annual staple.

I'm just starting on the Salt Water Trunks though, so the pyjama's might lose their top spot
