Take Me Back Tuesday Series

Do you ever wish you could slow down time?  Like especially during a Season when there is SO MUCH FANTASTIC content???

So we're starting a new series where we highlight one look from a past Season!  We can geek out together about the patterns, fabrics, photography, locations and more!!!  And even better...we're going to talk about how we could recreate the look!!!  Are you ready?  We're going to call this series
Take Me Back Tuesday.

Let's start with a crazy good look by Tami of SewSophieLynn from Season 15 Week 2: Crafting A Story.

Where to start???  Everything about this Charlotte's Web look is SO FUN!  Let's start with HIS look:

This little guy is wearing 3 pieces.  A ringer tee, bomber jacket and woven joggers.  Let's break it down:

Ringer tee pattern: The Lemon Tee pattern is the obvious choice here!  Not only can you recreate this exact tee, but there are options for SO MANY more variations...a whole wardrobe full.
Ringer tee fabric:  Spoil them with some Art Gallery Fabric jersey in Icy Mint color
Ringer tee graphic: Check out all the digital designs in the shop...the Good Vibes graphic would add just the right feeling to this tee!

Bomber jacket pattern: The Senpai Bomber Jacket pattern is almost a perfect match to this pattern.  The only difference is that Tami used a zipper, and the Senpai Bomber Jacket uses snaps.  This is actually pretty easy to switch out.  For the raglan sleeves, use the sleeves from the Adventure Raglan Sweatshirt.
Bomber jacket fabric: Some soft french terry in gray and black is perfect here.

Woven joggers pattern: The Metro Pants and Shorts pattern might not be the first pattern that jumps to your mind here, but with a few simple changes, they'd be the ideal pattern!  Just add cargo pockets (tutorial here,) and sew two lines of evenly spaced stitching through the elastic waist to achieve the same look.
Woven joggers fabric: Some Kaufman Essex Yarn Dyed linen in charcoal would have just the right amount of structure, drape and breathability to be amazing here.

Now we get to geek out about HER super fun outfit!  There are also 3 pieces here, a bodysuit, those fun overalls, and the headband.

Bodysuit pattern: How about using the Viridian Swimsuit pattern?  You'd need to add some sleeves, but hello darling bodysuit!
Bodysuit fabric: This exact jersey that Tami used is out of production, but here's a cute floral Art Gallery Fabric jersey knit in a similar color scheme.

Overalls pattern: The Sydney Pinafore Pattern is a great base for recreating these!  In fact there are only 2 changes to make: use ties or a drawstring instead of elastic to gather the back, and lengthen the shorts into pants.  Boom!!!
Overalls fabric: Chambray blue Kaufman Essex Yarn Dyed linen blend fabric is a slam dunk here.  Plus, hello, I want her wardrobe!

Headband pattern: Here's a cute pattern and it's free which is always a bonus!
Headband fabric: This dotty blue fabric is so pretty.

Alright, here it is all together:

Location & Photography: Tami found a gorgeous location that has farm echos, but isn't all down on the farm with mud and pigs and such!  Photographing her son against a wall with the same hue as his shirt was unexpected and genius, don't you think?  And Tami always hits a home run on the details like the pink sandals and the web on her main image.
