It's party time...Pantone Party, that is! Today I am kicking off this delightful Illuminating Yellow and Ultimate Gray party. To tell the truth, I've seen some sneak peeks from the other designers, and I'm glad to go first before I lose my nerve about not measuring up!!
I got to play with yellow and gray Art Gallery Fabrics to create my looks inspired by the current Prairie trend. Do you want to know a secret? My teenage daughters convinced me to go with this theme even though I was quite nervous it wouldn't fit with an ultra modern themed 2021 Pantone Party!
For my daughter, I sewed:
A Novella Pinafore sewn with Soda Straws canvas fabric from Art Gallery Fabrics.
An Aurora Raglan sewn using two solid Art Gallery Fabric knits; Tin Tint for the main body, and Graphite for the sleeves and neckband. The ties are made with Bloom Wild Magnolia Zest cotton fabric.
To top it all off, I used the Moto Jacket pattern to create a quilted jacket from Art Gallery Fabric Charcoal Powder denim, with Tin Tint knit fabric sleeves. Magnolia Zest fabric is the lining of this quilted moto jacket. The back holds a surprise, and is my favorite part! Please head over to my post at Skirt Fixation to see!
For my son I sewed:
A Fell & Dale cap in Art Gallery Fabric Charcoal Powder denim.
A Thyme Shirt made using Art Gallery Fabrics Canary cotton fabric.
Some Morocco Pants using both Wicked Sky and Charcoal Powder denim fabrics.
Tucked under his chin sits a bowtie made using Wicked Sky denim fabric from Art Gallery Fabrics.
For my youngest daughter I sewed:
A dramatic Odeline Dress made up from Cactus Bloom Moonlight rayon by Art Gallery Fabric with a Canary cotton ruffle at the neck.
For my youngest son I sewed:
A Journal Jumpsuit using Buck Forest Moonstone Art Gallery Fabric knit fabric. The pop of yellow trim on the kangaroo pocket, placket and hood are Art Gallery Fabrics Canary cotton fabric.
