Project Happy Holidays: Jenny and Audrey from Project Run and Play

Today we are introducing Audrey and Jenny, the designers behind Project Run and Play.

Audrey is a mother of 9 children which is her “real job!”  When she’s not changing diapers, fixing meals, doing laundry, or snuggling the baby, she also blogs over at Skirt Fixation.   Because she’s 6 feet tall, she’s sewed for most of her adult life.  She adores sewing for her children and is constantly inspired by the jaw-dropping designers created for children on Project Run & Play!  After helping out and learning the ropes as Virtual Assistant for 2 years, in 2018, Audrey took over this inspiring and amazing community event.

Audrey designed Evergreen Skirt and Noel Dress for this collection.

The Noel Top & Dress is a woven dress pattern. The generously easy fit enables hours and hours of repeated wear. The Noel Top & Dress has a button up back and soft scoop neck. There are 4 options for length; top, peplum, knee length dress & maxi dress. The 2 sleeve options are short or tiered. (Bonus, you can use the sleeve options from the Rosemary & Thyme Shirts too!) Comfort level A+ and totally on trend, your child will feel so elegant when wearing the

Noel Top & Dress!

The Evergreen Tiered Skirt is a woven skirt pattern. The comfortable fit enables hours and hours of repeated wear. The Evergreen Tiered Skirt has an elasticated waistband and inseam pockets. There are so many options (19!!!) from mini to maxi that this is a true mix-and-match pattern. Comfort level A+ and totally on trend, you’re going to end up making a whole wardrobe of these!

Jenny from Made of Starlite joined the PR&P team this fall. She designed the Holly Tee and Dress.

Hi, I'm Jenny, designer behind Made of Starlite and director of the Project Run and Play pattern shop!  Homeschooling mom of 4 in the heartland, and sewing is one of my favorite creative outlets. From childhood, I have always wanted to be a fashion designer, and it's amazing how things can come together in ways you never expected. I am super excited for this collection of patterns, a few of which I was able to help design! Through years of pattern testing, I knew designers put in a lot of hours, but now I have a while new level of appreciation for the intense work it takes to design PDF sewing patterns. These ladies are incredible!!!

The holidays are my absolute favorite time of year. This collection has something for every event: special holiday pjs, fancy dresses, shirts and dress pants for holiday parties, cozy outerwear, and coordinating outfits for family pictures!

My favorite holiday is Christmas, when we fill our house with Christmas trees, eat delicious food, and do our service Christmas advent calendar.

Holly offers several mix and match options, for over 20 possible combinations! Combine the
simple knit bodice with other knits, wovens, or even special occasion fabrics makes Holly appropriate
for any occasion. Start by choosing either a straight tee, skirted top, or knee length dress.
Then add a singe flounce sleeve, double flounce sleeve, 3/4 bubble sleeve, or plain short sleeve.
Optional bodice ruffles add extra flair, and fit with either the straight or skirted bodice, and any
of the sleeve options. Options to either topstitch ruffles with an exposed edge.
Make this everyday wear or special occasion depending on your fabric choice!
