  1. Part of me would love to try for this, but, well, I don't draft patterns. I haven't a clue how to start. I've hardly ever made something without a pattern. The closest would be the Christmas dresses I'm still working on, but even those were frankenpatterned....

  2. I thought you could start with a base pattern and adapt it?

  3. Ladies they do not have to be self drafted... I've seen contestants use straight patterns, but I think it's all in how you detail it.

  4. I would like to know more details on the pattern regulations. Maybe that could be clarified by the administrators.

  5. Just a clarification on patterns. We do allow the use of patterns as a starting point for any design. The only thing we do ask is that if you start with any commercial pattern (or tutorial) please acknowledge and give credit to that designer, company, or blog. We rely on each designers' integrity to follow that pattern rule.

We are so excited to see the auditions that have been put up so far, we missed seeing all of your sewing work in the flickr group! Our PR&P sewing community is so awesome! We hope many more will join in the fun of auditioning...

    1. So badly want to join the fun and had an outfit to enter.
But was offered a math position I couldn't turn down!

      Always next season.
Will sew along as much as possible!

    2. Oh, I wanted to audition too, but I figured having a baby and competing in a sewing contest don't really jive! Maybe next season! I even made an outfit to enter, before I talked myself out of it...blogged about here: http://erickmarnae.wordpress.com/2012/12/03/sugarplum-frock/

hopefully I can still at least do a few sew alongs :)

    3. Jacq-I would've put money on you being one of the six designers they invited to participate. I hope you can still do the sew-a-long some; I really like seeing your creations there. Congrats on the new job!

  7. I've been lurking and following all the action here at "Project Run and Play" for two competitions. I just submitted my audition entry of "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas Overalls." I loved creating them and my granddaughter feels so special wearing them. Though my granddaughter loves wearing dresses, everyone loves being comfy too.

  8. I have linked up the latest outfit i completed today! Dress specially made for my darling daughter to wear on a special occasion, for singing Christmas carols as the school closes for winter vacation from tomorrow!

Thanks for the opportunity to give auditions, i have been following the past seasons of Project Run and Play and would be thrilled to be an actual part of it, lets see if my creation makes it to the luck few to the next round...
