Project Under the Sea Digital Designs

We have 8 graphic designs that are perfect for larger projects like the front of an Explorer Raglan. There are also individual elements included for endless mix and match options! Each design is available in SVG and PNG formats.

The team had so much fun trying out different types of iron on vinyl with these!

Audrey used the perfect holographic glitter iron on vinyl for this shark!

Let's take a closer look:

The Blank Canvas Cardigan has an exaggerated drop shoulder and some really fun options they’ll keep requesting. The Blank Canvas Cardigan offers 3 length options, 2 sleeve versions, and fun angled pockets.
The cropped version hits just below the waist and is perfect for layering! The hip version is such a classic, and the tunic length ends right at mid thigh. Any of the lengths can be made with the short, cuffed sleeves, (think shrug or bolero style!) or go for those generously long cuffed sleeves. No hemming is required on this fun cardigan, as the front and bottom bands create a beautiful finish inside and out. Last of all, those fun angled pockets are just the right size to hold every treasure as well as keep their hands toasty warm.

Next up we have the Multi-Hue Henley.  This pattern includes a henley shirt, a trendy babydoll top, and two dress options. The Multi-Hue Henley is a slim fitting shirt. There are 4 sleeve options. Short sleeve with bands to finish and pull them in for a tailored look. The other short sleeve option has a trendy pieced upper sleeve. The generously long sleeve options included cuffed or pieced. The gathered babydoll top hits at the hip. A classic straight dress sits at the waist and reaches to just above the knee. The skater dress option hits at the knee.

Bonus: This is a companion pattern to the Parfait Polo, which makes all sleeve and dress options interchangeable!

The Easel Tee offers 2 views. Unisex for every boy and girl, and soon to become their favorite tee ever. The dolman sleeves offer ultra comfort. On the hip length shirt, the front is slightly cropped with just the right amount of coverage from the scooped back.
The girl’s cropped version hits right at the waist and is perfect for pairing with high waisted jeans or skirts. A raw edge pocket can be added to either tee. Seriously the fastest tee you’ll ever sew!
The Easel Tee is FREE with the purchase of any other pattern in the collection!  Use the code easelfree at checkout.

The Degas Dungarees pattern will make you feel like a sewing superstar!  The Degas Dungarees are a regular to slim fit design for woven fabrics, suitable for every season, with all the bells and whistles of ready-to-wear denim dungarees. They are designed for girls but fit beautifully on young boys too.

The design features slightly tapered legs, medium height body rise, pants or shorts length, and skirt options, lined bib with adjustable straps, inset front pockets, patch pockets in the back with 6 different topstitch designs and a topstitched waistband with belt loops!

The Super Tough Jeans are just for hard-playing kids!  They are slim fit jeans designed for boys, with just enough ease to move freely.  A staple to turn to when you need jeans for your boy that he can play in, wear to school, throw himself on his knees and slide on the floor, and not be worried about tearing holes in it.

The Haze Top & Dress is the prettiest thing in the collection!  It was very specifically created with linen in mind. A casual, easy-to-wear dress that can go many places and suits the great qualities of linen fabric. The front bodice features cute bubble tucks or box pleats that can be sewn regular or inverted. The back V is sectioned into narrow horizontal pleats or it’s a perfect spot to showcase some heirloom embroidery. There are two lengths - shirt and knee length dress. The shirt hem is simple. The dress length is also simple, but has an option for a deep pleated hem section. The waist ties cinch in the waist for a pretty silhouette. It makes me think of picnics in the park and big straw hats.

The Rocky Shore Tights are your new favorite leggings pattern!  The ones you see above were sewn using Project Art Studio fabric Paint Drip Border Print in Dark Pink!!!  The Rocky Shore Tights are designed with negative ease in the style of performance tights.  Waistline options include crossed over yoga band or fold over elastic band.  They can be cut to shorts length or kept as full length tights.  When making the full length tights, an optional separate lower panel allows for the possibility of colour blocking.  It features either a solid panel or 3 peek-a-boo windows along the outseam.  The peek-a-boo windows were the inspiration when naming these tights, as they cause one to envision a rock grasped from the shoreline and then sent skipping across the waters surface.

Sewing the Fashionista Jean Jacket is worth it!  This pattern is an on trend cropped jean jacket with a button front and cuffs.  It's great for year round wear.  This jacket pattern is designed for non stretch denim and twill fabrics and is the perfect layering piece for your budding fashionista. The pattern is designed to hit at a cropped length between the natural waist and the high hip. This ensures that it looks amazing over dresses, rompers, tunics, tees, and everything else in your child's closet. The cuffed sleeves are designed to hit at the widest part of the hand. The front placket and cuffs can be closed with jean shank buttons, metal snaps, or regular buttons.

The Sundowner Sweatshirt has some really special details!  It is a relaxed fit, hemmed raglan sweatshirt with curved seams and a hi-lo hem.  This pattern goes from Prem./Small Newborn all the way up to Age 12.   There are optional pockets and piping can be added. You can have a drawstring hood and/or hemline on the older ages.  An overlocker/serger will create the neatest finish but all options can be made using a regular sewing machine. It is suitable for advanced beginners.  It works best with lightweight sweatshirting or French terry, but you can use any light/medium weight stretch fabric.

The Four Seasons Joggers pattern is a pattern to take you right through the whole year! It is a casual jersey pattern with 4 lengths to choose from: shortie, knee length, capri and full length. You can choose from a regular jersey waistband or a double height fold over waistband, faux drawstrings and two pocket sizes.
You will be sewing these up all year long!

And let's take a closer look at those adorable Project Art Studio accessories!

The Van Gogh Bag is perfect for budding artists! It can be made as a bag, backpack, or pouch. On the front of the bag pockets are provided for easy access to well organized pencils, markers, brushes, or crayons. There are different flap styles included- one even mimics a crayon box! The bag is roomy enough to hold full size coloring books, tablets, and sketch pads.

The Pointillism Pencil Pouch is perfect for carrying colored pencils, pens, or markers. There are some fun options that use the shape of the bag to create a giant pencil or crayon. This bag is sturdy and stands on its own while the top folds down so that art supplies are easily accessible.

The Monet Beret is a quick and authentic hat that elevates any look!  A classic beret, that's quick and easy to make...for everyone in the family!

And the digital designs are available now too!

Grab these and get started creating!  They are a STEAL!!!  And perfect for putting on the Easel Tee, or the Van Gogh Bag, or the Sundowner Sweatshirt!

These fun art digital designs offer so many options to add to any project.  Mix and match the cute graphics to create endless fun looks on all your projects!

Book Bag Patch Tutorial

Project Run and Play Back to School Series

If you are sending your kids back to school the teachers often request a few items to help stock the classroom. They always need tissues and Clorox wipes!!! So why not whip up a quick Book Bag to send them in!?!?

Send classroom supplies in a DIY school tote bag!

This was actually my very first time using Cricut Iron On and I only had dark fabric, so I decided to test the waters with a patch on the front of the bag. The frayed edge patches are very trendy lately and I love how it turned out! I actually got a little carried away and made three of them!

Cut a piece of light colored canvas or other heavyweight fabric to the desired size. I started with an 8" x 10" rectangle. You can decorate it with an iron on digital design or create a unique background.

For the stitched lined paper patch:

Sew a horizontal light blue line of stitching one inch from the top edge of the fabric.

How to sew lined paper

Stitch another blue line 3/8" from the first line.

Sew blue lines on white fabric to create a paper design

Repeat until you get to the bottom of the fabric. The fabric may shift, so square up the edges and trim the loose threads with a rotary cutter as needed.

Sew a vertical line of red stitching one inch from the left edge of the fabric.
