Project Night and Day with Made of Starlite

We had so much fun doing this "Best Cousins" photoshoot for Project Night and Day! Can you believe these two are only 15 days apart in age?? Genetics are so funny 😆

I absolutely HAD to make a Luna from this collection. This is our new favorite sweatshirt pattern! the blousey sleeves, the ruffles, the possibilities for color blocking, and it's the perfect length! Not quite cropped, but not too long. 😍😍😍

For this one, I upcycled an old LulaRoe duster. It's a light hacci knit, with beautiful metallic gold splatters that remind me of constellations! The lighter weight really accentuates the sleeves, and I love how the ruffles drape in that lighter fabric.

For my second look, I was trying to re-create this adorable sweater dress I saw on Pinterest! I used the Story Dress, which is one of my favorite casual dresses, and added a band to the bottom, inseam pockets, and slimmed down Lagoon sleeves, since I was low on fabric. I always keep RCF french terry on hand, but I underestimated how much black I had left! Good thing their Black Friday sale is still going, so I can replenish my stash!😉

I found these *amazing* iron on glitter stars on Amazon! They are plastic gems on a clear glue backing, so you just iron them on. The sparkle is even better in person!! They were super easy to affix with my Cricut Heat Press. I will check back in about how they hold up in the wash. Hopes are high, because they seem to be pretty secure so far!

I hope you enjoyed my makes! Soooo many more planned, because between a great theme and amazing patterns, I'm inspired to sew a whole wardrobe for Project Night and Day!
