Meet the Designers--Louise from I'm Feeling Crafty

Project Run and Play? And Me as a contestant? I never thought I'd actually put those two sentences together! But they are now. I'm a contestant on Project Run and Play. WOW! I'm super excited to be here! And I'm scared! The competition is fierce!

I grew up in the south, but grew up and headed North. Now I'm a wife and mother, an architect by day and a crazy sewing person at night! An online pal was shocked one day when I emailed her during the day, not in the middle of the night! I'm a totally self taught sew-er! I've been sewing for the last 10 years or so. I started sewing household things like cushion covers and curtains. My friends asked me to cover some cushions that were about 5' long and they wanted a zipper. I was intimidated by them I ignored the project for years. Literally! Then I finally just did them and they were super easy. Then I made a little pillow with some freehand stitching as an 'I'm Sorry' gift. That pillow started me off on sewing all sorts of things. But mostly pillows, purses and baby blankets. I did that for a while until my son was born.

After the kiddo was born, I started really sewing a lot, making him toys and clothes. And that's when I started my blog to show my friends and family back home in 'Bama what I was doing. As I started the blog, I started finding all sorts of other wonderfully creative crafting and sewing blogs. And people started reading mine! I had to up my game a bit! I love sewing all sorts of things. Kids clothes, kids costumes and toys, quilting, and and and.... If the kiddo and I can think it, we try to make it! I'm super excited to be a part of this this season! Thanks for having me!
