Our Top 10 Star Wars Themed DIYs for kids!

It's May the 4th!  In celebration of this FUN day of celebrating all things related to Star Wars, we thought we'd share our 10 favorite Star Wars themed DIYs for kids.  Many of these are from past Seasons of Project Run & Play, so hopefully you enjoy this little walk down memory lane.

1 - Star Wars themed DIY for kids: REY in the Springtime OUTFIT


During Season 11 for the Cosplay challenge, Courtney of Sweeter than Cupcakes created this DARLING Rey in the springtime look.  (You've got to check out the whole look...little sister got THE MOST adorable BB-8 skirt!) 

2 - Star Wars themed DIY for kids: You Need a Pilot JACKET


During Season 12 for the Signature Style challenge, Katy of Wild and Wonderful created this jaw dropping You Need a Pilot creation.  Everything from that Rebel Alliance jacket (take a walk on the dark side and check out the inside) to the jeans and the shirt underneath are WORTH you time to go drool over.  We'll wait...

3 - Star Wars themed DIY for kids: Galactic Party DRESS


This dress.  This DRESS!!!  During Season 15 for the Astronomical Proportions challenge, Gemia of Phat Quarters created this fabulous dress!  And if you think it can't get any better, check out the little bolero she sewed to go with it!

4 - Star Wars themed DIY for kids: The Layered Look BOWTIE


During Season 5 for the Boys Week challenge, Kim of A Girl and a Glue Gun created a layered look for her son with SO MANY amazing pieces!  The bow tie and the vest lining use Star Wars fabric, but you're going to have to see the whole thing!

5 - Star Wars themed DIY for kids: Darth Vader ELBOW PATCHES


It's probably a proven fact that life is better with Darth Vader elbow patches.  Run, don't walk to the tutorial over here, it's by Christie of Lemon Squeeze Home, so you know it's a good one!

6 - Star Wars themed DIY for kids: Boy and Girl GRAPHIC TEES


While I'm making up one of these Yoda Best graphic tees for myself, you head over and check out the other boy and girl Star Wars themed graphic tees by Skirt Fixation.  And make sure to stock up on  holographic sparkle iron on vinyl, because it doesn't get much more COOL than a Star Wars design in holographic vinyl!

7 - Star Wars themed DIY for kids: Star Wars inspired FACE MASK


Yes, we've mentioned it before, and we'll probably mention it again, but we can't stop thinking about these face masks created by Sew Chibi Designs!  There are 4 delightful Star Wars options in this FREE download.

8 - Star Wars themed DIY for kids: Obi-Wan ROBE


Delia Creates has an easy tutorial for an Obi-Wan Robe.  Do yourself a favor and check out the photos in her post...the saber actually GLOW!!!

9 - Star Wars themed DIY for kids: Girls Star Wars PARTY


Jess of Craftiness is Not Optional is a FUN mom!  I've put myself on the list to be adopted by her so she can throw me a fun girly Star Wars party!  (Do you like the cake or the fun cake pops better?)


10 - Star Wars themed DIY for kids: Princess Leia HAIR


Jess of Me Sew Crazy has the scoop on easy to make Princess Leia buns.  May or may not have tried this on my own hair...
