Skirting the Issue: Jacqueline from Begin With B

Today we have someone who knows kids...she is both a teacher and a seamstress and we are so happy to have her joining us...it's Jacqueline from Begin with B!

My goodness....very excited to be here today. As a mother of two boys, skirts aren't something I usually make a whole lot of. But as a sixth grade teacher I was stoked about the mission of Skirting the Issue as I know how meaningful a handmade skirt would be to some of my former students. So I jumped on the skirt bandwagon and created a ruched side skirt that is both form fitting and easy to slip on. I called upon a former student to model, which turned out to be my favorite part of the process.
The skirt is definitely easy and comes together quickly, making me wish my boys could rock skirts! It can be made on a regular sewing machine in a short amount of time. Head on over to beginwithb for the full tutorial.

Thanks so much Elizabeth and Liz for having me here today and hosting for such a great cause.
