Project Under the Sea with Skirt Fixation

Today Audrey is sharing some of her creations from the Project Under the Sea pattern collection.

Project Under the Sea

To be honest, I just could not stop sewing this collection!  I would think I was done and then would have the PERFECT idea for just one more thing...over and over again!  Just me?  Okay, let's dive into these looks!

Project Under the Sea

These two boys got Baja Breeze Pullovers and Sand 'N Surf swim trunks!  They each chose their favorite panel from the Project Under the Sea mixed panel set for their Baja Breeze Pullovers.  On the kiddo on the left, we combined the panel with Ocean Sandbar stripes and his brother chose School of Fish in White for the contrast sleeves.

Their Sand 'N Surf swim trunks are made from Crabby in Ocean (on the left) and Crabby in Navy (on the right.)  They have informed me that they love the compression liner underneath and want all their swim trunks to have them in the future!

I also made one of the boys a color blocked Explorer Raglan from Sage Rugby Stripe, some solids, and

the fish line stripe digital design!  I used holographic iron on vinyl for a very cool effect.

Lagoon sewing pattern

Next up little sister got quite a few new outfits!  (See above where I talked about being addicted to sewing this collection...)  The one you see above is the fanciest Lagoon mermaid skirt you can ever imagine!  I used two tone flip sequin fabric from Califabrics,  The waist trim is iridescent mermaid ruffle trim and the tulle is lilac purple tulle, both from JoAnns.

Her top is an Explorer Raglan using a Mermaid Mixed Panel for the center front and Mermaid Tail in Mermaid for the sleeves and back.

Lagoon Top, Dress & Skirt sewing pattern

I also used Lagoon for this outfit.  Her Lagoon top has short bubble sleeves and a ruffled neckline.  We made it using Light Baby Blue Pleated Satin Fabric from Raspberry Creek Fabrics, and the skirt is the Lagoon bubble skirt.

Morgana Zip Up pattern

Over the top she's wearing a Morgana Zip Up!  This pattern is a new favorite, and so cozy.  We used the Mermaid Off Duty panel from the Mermaid Mixed Panel and some white stretch loop terry fabric.  I must admit I'm envious of this cover up!

Minnow Swimsuit pattern

Of course she needed a new swimsuit!  The Minnow pattern was the perfect excuse to sew up a mermaid themed swimsuit.  We used Tiny Bubbles in Ocean Teal, solid lilac and some iridescent mermaid tail fabric to create the swimsuit of her dreams!

Armeria embroidery pattern

Finally, the headband in her hair is created using the Armeria embroidery pattern.  (Head over to Skirt Fixation for a confession on who really sewed it...)

Zealand Zip Off pattern

And let's not forget about this little guy!  He's wearing a pair of Zealand Zip Off pants up cycled from several pairs of old jeans.

Jawsome digital design

His "jawsome" shirt is an Explorer Raglan made using the jawsome digital design and some Ocean Sandbar stripes for the sleeves.  The shark is made from glitter iron on vinyl, because, duh!!!  I think you can tell by his expression that this is his new favorite shirt.

Stuffed turtle pattern

And finally (no, really!) we had to sew up some Seashell Satchels and a Bryan Turtle (from Ocean Friends Bundle 2) They both use some turtle batik fabric from Califabrics.  (It's sold out, but check out these cool batiks they have!)
