Today Audrey is sharing some of her creations from the Project Under the Sea pattern collection.
To be honest, I just could not stop sewing this collection! I would think I was done and then would have the PERFECT idea for just one more thing...over and over again! Just me? Okay, let's dive into these looks!
These two boys got Baja Breeze Pullovers and Sand 'N Surf swim trunks! They each chose their favorite panel from the Project Under the Sea mixed panel set for their Baja Breeze Pullovers. On the kiddo on the left, we combined the panel with Ocean Sandbar stripes and his brother chose School of Fish in White for the contrast sleeves.
Their Sand 'N Surf swim trunks are made from Crabby in Ocean (on the left) and Crabby in Navy (on the right.) They have informed me that they love the compression liner underneath and want all their swim trunks to have them in the future!
I also made one of the boys a color blocked Explorer Raglan from Sage Rugby Stripe, some solids, and
the fish line stripe digital design! I used holographic iron on vinyl for a very cool effect.
Next up little sister got quite a few new outfits! (See above where I talked about being addicted to sewing this collection...) The one you see above is the fanciest Lagoon mermaid skirt you can ever imagine! I used two tone flip sequin fabric from Califabrics, The waist trim is iridescent mermaid ruffle trim and the tulle is lilac purple tulle, both from JoAnns.
Her top is an Explorer Raglan using a Mermaid Mixed Panel for the center front and Mermaid Tail in Mermaid for the sleeves and back.
I also used Lagoon for this outfit. Her Lagoon top has short bubble sleeves and a ruffled neckline. We made it using Light Baby Blue Pleated Satin Fabric from Raspberry Creek Fabrics, and the skirt is the Lagoon bubble skirt.
And finally (no, really!) we had to sew up some Seashell Satchels and a Bryan Turtle (from Ocean Friends Bundle 2) They both use some turtle batik fabric from Califabrics. (It's sold out, but check out these cool batiks they have!)
Please feel free to come over to Skirt Fixation for more photos and details. You can also follow me on Instagram to be spammed with more sewing stuff!
