Meet the Designers: Suz from sewpony

Hi! My name is Suz and I blog at sewpony from Melbourne, Australia.  I am married to Stefan and have three little daughters that I love to sew for - Isabella (5 years), Juliette (3 years) and Emily (18 months).  I moved to Mebourne from country Victoria when I began university studying Occupational Therapy.  After six years, I decided to change career paths and studied to become a Primary School Teacher (much more my thing!).  I loved teaching but am a stay at home Mum at the moment to my three girls and will potentially return to teaching part time when our eldest (Isabella) starts school next year.

I don't remember learning to sew.  My Mum taught my sisters and I (by osmosis - I think) when we were young teenagers.  I sewed a few garments and a quilt before getting serious about sewing when Isabella was born five years ago.  Since staring sewpony in 2011, I have become passionate about sewing and sharing...blogging is such a great way to tap into an abundant source of likeminded creative people - I love it!! I have started on my own exciting creative venture recently - designing digital sewing patterns.  My first pattern was released a few weeks ago (which you can read more about  here.  I am so excited to be a part of Project Run & Play amongst such great talent and I can't wait to get started!!
