Project Run and Play: Jess for Project Farmer's Market

Today we're highlighting the Banana Boat Tee and the Soleil Skirt and their designer, Jess of Lil Luxe Collection.

Hi I’m Jess, Designer/Owner of Lil Luxe collection. I’m an architectural designer turned pattern designer, work from home mom raising two little girls with my husband in the Chicagoland area. I design for the modern princess with a street style edge who’s always in fashion but down for roughing around outside with the kids on the block. We love everyday wear inspired by our sweet and sassy attitudes, the beautiful city scenes surrounding us and the social atmosphere we live in.

It's been a whirl of a time and a wonderful experience working with some pretty AHmazing designers to put together this first collaborative collection for Project Run & Play. Hard to believe it’s already been 4 months since we first started the collaboration!! I love how each designer has a different point of view/aesthetic, how well we all deliberated virtually in different time zones and of course the outcome of such a cohesive capsule collection. All of the patterns work so well together and look OH SO GOOD in the LookBook!!

For my pattern contribution, I wanted something easy breezy that my girls could wear together while walking through the markets or pair with other outfits. The Banana Boat Tee has a modest neckline with cinched sides that tie together at the side with a bow for a twist on an everyday tee. The Soleil Skirt has three length options, inseam pockets, optional straps, and bow, elastic back and a flat front with faux button placket for easy wear and easy sewing!
