For added inspiration (and extra reading during the week), I plan on featuring round-ups and other bloggers interpretations of the theme each week, as well as my own. Now, I know mine won't be as fabulous as what you'll be voting on, but it's nice to have a challenge each week for myself. Here's what I came up with.
I used supersoft knit material for the bodice and sleeves, and freezer paper stencilled a snowflake in shades of blue. (for freezer paper stencil info, go here; snowflake clipart, here) I used a sparkly knit for the skirt, with a layer of white tulle over it. And then for a bit of extra sparkle, I added a charcoal sequin elastic waistband. Comfortable and cute, just the way my daughter likes it. I took a scrap of the sparkle knit to make a headband, but I doubt that stays in her hair long.
Adorable!
