Hi, I'm Bernadette, owner of Duchess & Hare.
So,
a little about me. First off, I'm not good at talking about myself.
I'm very bad at it in fact... I'll just tell you that I like to design,
sew, and photograph the things I make. I've been sewing since I was 12
which translates to more than 2/3 of my overall life because I've been
alive for a while now. I can remember cutting up socks to make dresses
for my Barbies when I was little. After that got boring (because
there's only so many things a person can do with tube socks and
scissors), I started using tissue paper and tape to make some pretty
elaborate tutus for the My Little Ponies that shared a shelf with the
Barbies. Even before that started, I was drawing and making collages.
I've always been a crafter, probably as long I've been able to use
scissors.
When I'm not crafting, I'm usually
found playing video games or reading fantasy novels, or watching bad
science fiction movies. I really can't get enough of it. I love to
lose myself in the different worlds of the books and movies. I am also a
mother of 4. My boys are 19, 17, and 15, and my daughter is 7.

really can't express to you how excited I am to be here. I've been
following Project Run and Play since the very first season and have
dreamed of being a contestant since then. Thank you all for voting me
in this season and making my dream come true!
Boys plus a girl. She is going to love that forever! I also love getting lost in a book. It's a great escape from reality as much as sitting down to a machine!
