Back to School with Hem & Bind and Life Sew Savory

On the final day of our Back to School tour we have some really amazing inspiration for you!  Two of our designers have sewed up some really fun combinations to inspire you.

Let's start with Bonnie of Hem & Bind.  She used patterns from the Project Run & Play shop and fabric from Raspberry Creek Fabrics to create these incredible looks:

We're just going to give you a few moments to find your jaw where it dropped on the floor!  Here are Bonnie's thoughts on her makes:

This trio of mine starts preschool and kindergarten on Monday! They are beyond excited, and I loved the idea of celebrating this milestone with handmade outfits! On my first scroll through Raspberry Creek Fabric's Back-to-School collection, I fell in love with the Encyclopedia Britannica fabric. Doesn't it look absolutely like something Ms. Frizzle would wear on a Magic School Bus journey? And, it's perfect sewn up as Abby's Spin + Twirl Dress! For the boys, I chose the Vintage Look Alphabet panel and used it in two different t-shirt choices for a matching but not too matchy finish. I mixed and matched green and gray solids for the bottoms, adding long pants to the short-sleeve tops so that we can toss on a light jacket, and these three coordinating outfits will work all the way through our Florida fall, winter, and spring!

Just wow!  Let's take a closer look...

Finishing up the tour in style we have Emily from Life Sew Savory.  She used patterns from the Project Run & Play shop and fabric from Raspberry Creek Fabrics to create these incredible looks:

We asked Emily for her back to school sewing thoughts:

I can't believe it's time to think about back to school sewing, but my kids start school in 20 days! Whew! I loved working with these patterns from the Project Run & Play shop and fabric from Raspberry Creek Fabric is always a hit. Everything seen in these photos was sewn with PR&P patterns except for the boys t-shirts. I just got lazy at that point! My daughter has a gorgeous new dress for school and the boys have fun joggers for sports and dress down days where they can wear these super comfy pants.

Let's zoom in, shall we?

What an adorable back to school outfit!  She's wearing:
