Project Happy Holidays: Meet Jenn of Jennuine Designs

Today starts our week of designer introductions for our latest collaboration: Project Happy Holidays!

The pieces in this collection are perfect for dressing your little one for the holidays. There are patterns for fancier events and ones for more casual get togethers. We even included a pajama pattern! The best part is, these patterns are not limited to winter holidays. They can easily transition to any event! We are really excited about this one and hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

First up in designer features is Jenn from Jennuine Design. Jenn designed two patterns for this collaboration.

Hi, I'm Jenn of Jennuine Design.  I'm an accountant by degree and I've taken my love of logic and precision and mashed it up with my creative side to grow into a designer.  Originally from Michigan, my husband and two daughters now call New Jersey home.

The holidays for our family mean a mix of events and time spent together.  Hadley is playing trumpet in her holiday concert and we're all going to see a concert at our local theatre so there are opportunities to dress up a bit and then we don't travel for the holidays so loads of lounging about time once school is out for break!

The Hols Dress Shirt is perfect for those recitals or other smart dressing occasions.  It can be a classic dress shirt, or there are optional details like rounded collar and ruffles on the button placket.  Add a chest pocket and use the straight cut or curved waist for a closer fit.

The Fete Slacks were also meant for snazzy dressing, but can be simplified for more casual events.  Flat front with pull on for sizes newborn to 6 years, or sleek zipper fly with tabbed waistband.  Darted back or elastic for easy fitting.  Optional back welt pockets and tuxedo stripe detail elevate these slacks for any formal event.

This collaboration has been a great challenge, stretching my drafting with all the bells and whistles.  All the different designs and designers work with one another and I can't wait to share all the sewing I've done from the collection!
