Hello PR&P! I'm beyond thrilled to be here. I've been following along since the beginning when my sewing skills were lacking but the inspiration was amazing! Project Run and Play was a huge part of what got me sewing for my children as I followed each season and was introduced to new designers, bloggers, and sewing patterns. My mom taught me to sew as a teenager and I got a basic sewing machine as a high school graduation present. Before my oldest daughter was born, I used it to make curtains and the occasional Halloween costume. Nothing is cuter than tiny baby girl sewing and once I started making cute little skirts and dresses I was hooked. I had a hallelujah moment when I got my serger about five years ago- everything was suddenly easier and actually looked pretty on the insides too! I discovered PDF patterns about that same time and I really learned to sew and push myself by diving into each new pattern. I began my blog just over a year ago as a place to share my pattern tests and projects. I blog over at SewSophieLynn and you can follow along on Instagram here too! It's been such an awesome ride as I've met so many amazing sewists and the online sewing community has become a huge part of my life.
I am a busy mom to five incredible kids ages 14-4. Our evenings are jam-packed with soccer, dance, girl scouts, singing, and church activities so I relish my quiet afternoons while the kids are at school and my little guy naps. My dates with my sewing machines keep my sane and provide a much needed escape. I'm so excited for this season and can't wait to see what everyone creates! Such an amazing group of ladies this season! I hope you'll be sewing along!
