Meet the Designer: Melissa from ISLY

Hello there! I'm Melissa, an artist, graphic designer, calligrapher and sewer. I have two adorable children: Penelope (4) and Felix (1). I grew up in a very crafty home, where my mom made practically everything by hand. Easter dresses, bread, curtains, upholstered chairs, pillows, cards, scrubs, prom dresses and more. For my mom, sewing was how she stretched a dollar. She taught me how to be creative, industrious and resourceful. I did a few projects here and there as a child, but didn't really pick up sewing until about 6 years ago, when my mother-in-law gave me her 40 year-old sewing machine.

I'm so excited to be working on Project Run and Play! Pretty sure little Miss P is thrilled to be modeling some fun clothes, too.
