Hello Everyone! Thank you so much to the ladies of Simple Simon & Co for inviting me here today. I'm Heidi from Elegance & Elephants (formerly Homemade By Heidi) here to show you a super easy tutorial for a fun & sporty skirt you can make from start to finish in an hour (or less)! While I love getting into a highly detailed project from time to time, it's nice to have those really simple go-to tutes that give you quick results, isn't it?!
Last year, I made this pair of shorts for my boy and I love how they turned out. What a great tutorial! So, this year, I decided to come up with a skirt version of it for my girl...and who knows...I may even have to sew one for me!
You will need:
jersey knit fabric
elastic
bias tape
thread
(I used 42cm/16 1/2 in of elastic,
but measure according to your needs.)To get the right size, you can just cut around any short, narrow skirt that currently fits whoever you are sewing this for.
Told you it was easy...all done!!
If you're interested in the tutorial for the top, it's at Elegance & Elephants, and while you're there, don't forget to check out the prizes for the current giveaway!
Thanks again for having me as a guest here today.
Happy Sewing, Everyone!
