So, I have a blog called My Sparkle, and I write there when I feel inclined. Though the name sort of sounds like it, its not about My Little Pony's or anything like that, but rather a nod to a conversation I had with a good friend about not losing my sparkle (pizazz, passion for life-- you know...) during a time in my life where I was sort of feeling not so shiny. I write (frequently using incorrect grammar and misspelling) about the things that make me feel inspired... in an effort to-- you know-- not lose my sparkle. Most days its my children or crafty endeavors. Sometimes its the home we live in while attempting to remodel. Mostly its just little bits of our life--sometimes carefully cropped photos to hide the messes--sometimes I just go ahead and let the messes show. And that photo of me above...it was taken just for this by my three-and-a-half-year-old daughter because despite the fact that my hard drive is nearly full of pictures of my children, it turns out none are of me with them. And why yes... I am sporting a high pony.
I am so excited to be part of Project Run and Play! And also, since joining this season I have started having stress dreams about sewing. That's totally normal right?
I am so excited to see what you are up to, Danielle! I have been reading your blog for about a year and the first project I loved of yours was the felt doll ornament you stitched for your daughter. I have loved seeing the sweet things you make for your sweet kids and can't wait to see your projects! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteWell I for one am totally excited to see what you come up with because I know it's going to dazzle! You are so brave and I think you're amazing!
ReplyDeleteI just "ran" over to your blog... Saw your comment about no comments, so here we go! Best of luck! I thought your joke about the My Little Ponies was funny. And I can relate to the feeling like you (we) "have lost some of your sparkle." Totally been there and know what you mean! I am very excited to see what everyone makes here. I actually follow another designers blog and am new to this whole experience. I'm looking forward to seeing some creative and inspiring projects!
ReplyDeleteAgain, good luck!
