Meet the Designers: Melanie from The Crafty Cupboard

Melanie is the author and creative mind behind the blog The Crafty Cupboard.  She lives with her husband and three little girls in Mesa, Arizona, and loves the heat.  Melanie has been sewing since she was a young girl in sewing lessons with her mom who is a professional seamstress.  When Melanie moved away from home to attend BYU, she hauled her mom’s old sewing machine with her and started making dresses for her daughter to pass the snowy Utah winters while her husband finished school.  She is yet again sewing (and now blogging) to pass the time while her husband is in Graduate School.  When Melanie isn’t playing with her kids, burning dinner, or sewing, she is singing with a local professional choir, the East Valley Mormon Choral Organization.
