Wasn't that a crazy good week? All the stories were so inspiring, and the designers really brought them to life with their designs.
Without further ado, the winning Crafting A Story look is:
Arena Ready by Pear Berry Lane
Liesl Gibson of Oliver+S the week 2 guest judge had this to say about Cassy's look:
This, I felt, was the strongest of the five submissions. This one wins my choice for #1.
Overall Look: So nice to see a strong girl! I especially like the textured black fabric for the Tee. The “tourniquet” on the leg terrifies me from a foreshadowing perspective (stay safe Katniss!), but this outfit really captures the look and feeling of the book while also producing clothing that are very wearable and conveys a message of strength while also being really cute!
Creativity: This is a great theme and very timely. It’s refreshing and sends a great message of empowerment and inner strength. Yippee for girls who wear olive and black!
Craftsmanship: The wide elastic on the trouser waistband is a very nice touch. And bravo for tackling the laminate! I can almost feel how sticky it must be.
Wear-ability: Very wearable and it looks like everything fits well. From a practical standpoint this is very well done while retaining lots of interest and visual texture.
And now the hardest part of the week, it's time to let this designer go:
On the Night You Were Born by Call Ajaire
Thankfully she does not have to go home empty handed, but (in addition to the $50 pre-season shopping spree at CaliFabrics) she is receiving these gifts from some of our wonderful sponsors:
$50 gift certificate from Simply by Ti
3 patterns of her choice from Winter Wear Designs
Now it's your turn! You have until tomorrow night at midnight (EST) to finish your 7 Wonders of the World creation and link it up for a chance to win a $40 gift certificate from Raspberry Creek Fabrics!
