Next we'd like you to meet Aimee from Puzzle Patterns. She's designed the very fun City Lights Cape for the Project Street Style collaboration.
Hiya! I'm Aimee from Puzzle Patterns. I'm a mama to three wild babes and I live in Melbourne, Australia together with them and their gorgeous Dad. I tried really hard to find a photo of just me - but it seems I've had at least one baby in my arms for the past seven years, so this one will have to do! In my past life I worked in Costume for film, television and theatre and travelled the world doing a little bit of everything to fund my adventures. Nowadays I work at home designing patterns, sewing into the wee hours and making endless snack platters while answering unending questions for tiny people. I released my first collection of patterns in 2017, a collection of childhood staples - rompers, dungarees, dresses and pants - and they're interchangeable, so you can piece them together, like puzzles, to create entire new looks. My next collection will be out early next year. I'm really excited to be a part of the project run and play family and all the wonderful creative ventures it has brought my way!
I designed the City Lights Cape with Melbourne in mind. This city is known for having all the seasons in one day so layers are a necessity! The City Lights Cape is easily layered and the hood can be pulled up for those unexpected winds or rain fall to keep your babe chic and cozy. Melburnians love fashion so dressing our mini me's we tend to look for the same cool and effortless styles that we love for ourselves. The City Lights Cape is great for an afternoon cruising the laneways for babyccinos, grooving away to the street performers and ending up at the museum to check out their latest family friendly exhibit!
The City Lights is a quick and easy sew and will be a great addition to your little ones wardrobe. You can follow along with us for updates on this and upcoming patterns on our Facebook page, Facebook group, Instagram and blog.
The City Lights and all the patterns in Project Street Style will launch October 14th.
