Our next designer is Susana of Suco by Susana and she's designed the Metro Pants and Shorts.
I'm an HR expert turned pattern designer. I have two children, I started sewing for them four years ago, and quickly started designing my own patterns.
I'm inspired by timeless designs, I focus on creating clothes that are versatile, well-constructed, comfortable, and that children will want to wear. I make all my kids' clothes and my own now, even underwear. They love to wear what I make for them and help by being my models.
For me, picking up fabric and a pattern and turning them into a garment just feels amazing. I love to learn new techniques, trying different ways to construct something, and teaching sewing classes. When I'm not sewing you'll probably find me baking, reading, organising and building stuff around the house.
I designed the Metro pants and shorts for this collection thinking of my kids and our everyday life in the city, in Lisbon. We love taking walks along the city, getting to know the traditional neighbourhoods, visiting monuments, museums and the castle that sits on one of the hills. And after that we sit down at one of the many coffee shops eating a pastry. Lisbon is "the city of the seven hills" and there are always these tucked away alleys, buildings and streets that are beautiful.
The Metro is what we call the metropolitan/subway/underground in Portugal. The Metro pants and shorts are the staple bottom that combine style, comfort, and ease of wearing. They are also a pretty quick sew and work well for all seasons.
Everything is launching on October 14, so you can see the patterns modeled and get inspired to sew yourself.
Come back every day this week as we slowly open the curtains on Project Street Style!
