Now, let's see what Susana sewed...
There’s a new collection at Project Run and Play, called Project Night and Day. It’s full of beautiful patterns for apparel, accessories, digital designs and even fabric. I contributed two new patterns for girls, the Luna Jumper and the Sol Skirt (luna means moon and Sol means sun).
The Luna Jumper is a relaxed fit sweater designed for knit fabrics, and it looks especially pretty made in medium-weight knitted fabrics such as cable knit. It features a vertical ruffle on each side of the front and back, cropped length with waistband, and wide sleeves that are gathered into cuffs. The pattern is designed for girls in sizes 12 months to 10 years old for regular children’s sizes, and sizes 11 to 14 years old for girls with developing figures. This means that if your teenager is already out of most designers kids’ sizes, she will probably still fit in this pattern (check the size chart for body measurements).
The Sol Skirt is a classical denim style skirt designed for woven fabrics (medium-weight and heavy-weight), and is suitable for every season.
The design features an A-line shape, zip fly with easy construction, inset front pockets with coin pocket, patch pockets in the back with 6 different topstitch designs, a shaped waistband with belt loops, optional adjustable waistband, front and back darts on sizes 7 to 14, above the knee length and lots of beautiful professional looking topstitching. It looks gorgeous made in denim, twill or corduroy.
For the white and gray Luna jumpers I used medium-weight knitted fabrics, which had a lot of stretch, especially the gray one. They turned out to make soft and comfortable sweaters that my daughter loves to wear. These are size 13, which means that I’ll still be able to make her more Luna jumpers next year. The Sol skirt pairs perfectly with the Lemon Tee, which is our favorite top for all year around. It’s unisex and goes up to size 14yo (the one in these photos is size 13).
Those are such perfect, trendy outfits and Susana did an amazing job, as always! You can also read her blog HERE. Thank you, Susana!
