Project Night & Day Fabric: Night Lights Colorway

 Thank you for your warm welcome to Project Night and Day, both the pattern collection and the fabric collection!  Yesterday we introduced you to the Day Dreams color way, and today we're sharing the details of the Night Lights color way.

This set of fabric is full of things you would discover in the night sky.  It is designed by Audrey and her 15 year old daughter.  We kind of want some of each design!  Let's take a closer look...

The main print (also called a hero print!) in this collection is a mystical delight called Growing Night.  Luna moths flit among planets, moons and stars, all entangled with vines.  It's quite the hero, don't you think?

Growing Night comes in 5 fantastic different color combinations.  

To coordinate with the Growing Night fabrics, there is Luna Moth fabric.  These guys are just too cute not to feature on their own fabric, right?  

The Luna Moth fabric comes in 4 different color combinations.

Also coordinating with the Growing Night fabrics is this lovely Celestial print.  It's a moon and star, both wrapped in those mystical vines.

Celestial comes in 4 different color combinations on White, Nebula, Moon Rock, and Mars Red.

The other hero print is Constellations.  All of the constellations that are shaped like animals are represented!

Constellations comes in 4 different color combinations.  Which one would you sew first?

The blenders to go with the Constellation fabric are the Galaxy prints.  This is such a fun and versatile print.

We simply couldn't stop making color combinations for the Galaxy print, so there are 6 of them! ;)

The Night Lights fabrics has ombre stripes, just like the Day Dreams fabrics.  They represent the sky when the Auroras can be seen.

On the left is the Aurora Australis fabric and on the right is the Aurora Borealis fabric.  So fun!

And just as the Day Dreams had some tie dye fabrics, so the Night Lights has tie dye fabrics.  And these are REALLY special!  These two fabulous fabrics began as photos taken in outer space of nebulas!!  On the right is a Bubble Nebula, and on the left is one named Mystic Mountain Nebula.  Talk about out of this world fabric!

Finally there are two sets of designs on panels in this collection.  This one has a moon, star and Luna moth and comes on Moon Rock and White back grounds.

The other set of night panels has 3 different sayings: A star is born, I need my space, and It's just a phase (with the phases of the moon pictured!)  These panels come on Midnight and White backgrounds.

Project Night & Day Fabric: Day Dreams Colorway

 Of COURSE we designed a fabric collection to go with the Project Night & Day pattern collection!  This collection works perfectly with all the patterns in the collection.  These designs were created by Audrey and her 15 year old daughter.  

They had so much fun designing this collection, that they came up with 2 distinct set of designs, one for the day, and one for the night!  Today we're focusing on the Day Dreams set of fabric, and tomorrow we'll look closer at the Night Lights fabrics.

The Day Dreams set of fabric is full of everything you might find in the sky during the day time!  There are 8 different designs, each in several colors, and some fabric panels too.

One of the two hero prints is called Budding Day.  In it, monarchs frolic among flower clouds, cheery sunshine and flower water droplets.  

This happy fabric comes in 4 happy color combinations.  Shown above with some of our rugby stripes and one of the ombre fabrics in the collection.

Perfectly coordinating with the Budding Day main print are the Monarchs, just flitting about on the fabric of your choice.

The Monarchs come in 4 different colors also with white, neptune, golden hour, and mist backgrounds.  Technically, only one of these is colored like a true monarch butterfly, but all are cute!

Another blender fabric in the collection (that means it goes with everything!) is this Sunshine Fabric.  It's created with flowers that just radiate light and joy!

This fabric comes in 4 different color combinations, and all of them will make you smile.

 The other main, hero print in the collection is Cloud Animals.  This fabric plays on the common childhood pastime of looking for (and finding) animal shapes in the clouds!

Cloud Animals comes in 5 different color combinations.  Which one will you try first?

Coordinating with the Cloud Animals is the Clouds print.  It's puffy goodness will inspire you to sew everything!

The Clouds print comes in 5 different colors, Clouds in Neptune, Clouds in Midnight, Clouds in Mist, Clouds in Clear Skies and Clouds in Sunrise.

Next up are the ombre fabrics!  The colors fade into each other back and forth across the fabric.

There is Ombre Sunrise (on the left above) and Ombre Sunset (on the right above.)  They coordinate with every single fabric in the Day Dreams fabric collection!

And then, we have two tie dye fabric.  The one you see above began as a photo of cloudy skies.  It's called When Skies Are Gray.

The other tie dye was created using a photo of the sunset.  It's called Sunset Stripe.  We're in love with each of these fabrics!

Finally, we made panels to go with this collection!  These are super fun to use for so many projects!

The Day Dreams panels come in 4 different colors and have 3 fun sayings on each yard: Take Flight with Monarchs, You Are My Sunshine with a sunshine flower, and You Make Me Happy When Skies are Grey with a flower cloud and raindrops.

Project Under the Sea Fabric Details

 With each pattern collection we now offer coordinating fabric through Raspberry Creek Fabrics Designer Studios. A lot of thought goes into the fabric to make sure it matches the theme and also works well with the patterns in the collection. Jenny was our lead designer for the fabric this time and she brought such a fun, whimsical element to these designs.

Whitney had the awesome idea to create a one yard complete swim set! It comes with mixed fabric and/or panels with bonus size tags so that you have everything except the lining and elastic! It is so much more efficient than ordering a little bit of everything (although we don't mind if you do! haha!) and the colors are perfectly matched.

Panels are a lot of fun to create and allow detail that you just can't capture with iron on vinyl. We offer our panels individually and in mixed sets. The mixed panels have three different designs in one yard so that you can make three different pieces. There is even a row of size tags along the bottom! 

These particular panels have large graphics which are very on-trend! They fit well on the back of a Morgana Zip Up!

 Jenny hacked the Explorer Raglan so that the panel is on the side of the shirt.

For another fun twist she added seed beads to the panels!

We have three different types of stripes- fishing line, sandbar, and rugby stripe. They look particularly good on the sleeves of the Explorer Raglan!

We also love how Call Ajaire used the Sunrise Sandbar stripes in two different directions on this Morgana Zip Up!

Jenny used the fishing line stripe on these Zealand Zip Off shorts for a crisp, nautical style!

There are designs with crabs, bubbles, or fish. Lindsay sewed a Lagoon with a tulle overlay skirt using fish fabric as the underskirt to make it appear as if the fish are underwater.

Audrey used crabs AND bubbles for the Sand N Surf Boardshorts.

It was so hard to narrow down Jenny's awesome designs! She actually created several different colorways that coordinate well together. Lindsay sewed Lagoon tops in the "Mermazing" print in two different colors for a cute, coordinating look.

Of course we also have mermaid scales! Those would be perfect in swim fabric for a Lagoon Ariel tail!

Project Under the Sea Fabric

 To coordinate with this awesome summery pattern collection, we also have a new fabric line!

Project Under the Sea fabric is available for custom printing at Raspberry Creek Fabrics. 

There are seven cute prints and sooo many panels in this collection, so we're going to introduce them over two days. Today we present the collection prints!

Our statement print is called Mermazing and is available in four colorways: Ocean (pictured), Mermaid (pictured), Shell (pink color scheme), and White (pink elements on a white background).

The School of Fish print makes the most of the colorways in this collection! It is available to order in Ocean, Rainbow, Shell, Light Ocean, White (pictured), and White Rainbow.

Tiny Bubbles reads almost like a polka dot, with the organic feel of bubbles floating in the ocean. Pick some up in Shell (pictured), Ocean Teal (pictured), Ocean (pictured), and Sunrise.

Of course, you can't release mermaid themed fabric without a Mermaid Tail print! Designed to match the other prints and panels perfectly, it's so hard to choose a favorite! Available in Mermaid (pictured), Ocean, Lavender, Shell, and Sunrise.

 

In designing this collection, we decided that we needed something for our pre-teen boys that would also coordinate with our Vintage Sea Life panels. This structured print, which we named Crabby, filled that void so perfectly, it is one of the team's absolute favorites! Crabby is available to order in Navy, (Pictured), Sand (Pictured), White Sand, and White (pictured).

You can't have a summer collection without summer stripes, and Project Under the Sea has two! Sandbar is a 1/2" thick, full color stripe, available in all of our colorways from this collection: Sunset, Sand, Mermaid, Sunrise, Ocean, and Rainbow.

Fishing Line is a thin pencil stripe on a white background, and is totally giving off preppy yacht club vibes. Available in Ocean, Mermaid, Sunrise, Shell,  Sand, and Rainbow.

Of course, we also updated our basic Rugby Stripes to match the colors in this collection! We love stripes! Pick some up now in Lavender, Teal, Butter Yellow, Mint, Navy, Bright Pink, Cream, Mauve and Purple!
