Hi, I’m Lakeisha! I blog over at Sincerely, Shantelle and my handle is some variant of "sincerelyshantelle" in other social media spaces. (Shantelle is my middle name, in case you were wondering). I’m married to the love of my life and we have two brilliant children who are 5 and 12. You may (or may not) have seen them all featured in my sews over the past couple of years as I’ve sewn strikes and tested patterns for multiple companies. My sewing journey has been an interesting one. I was off and on from late 2011 to 2016, and it was then that I discovered the online sewing world. I quietly lurked for a bit longer, working on small things here or there, until I became a pattern tester for Ellie and Mac at the end of 2018, and the rest is history! It’s rare that you find me not sewing these days. It’s my therapy, my idea of a fun time, & my escape from other grown up responsibilities, haha! I have never seen myself as a "designer" per se, simply more of a joyful creator. Needless to say, I am beyond thrilled and honored to have been invited to participate in Season 25 of PR&P! I can't wait to show you what I've come up with and am looking forward to all the things I'll learn and see along the way!
