Pantone Party with Art Bella

We are so excited to have Carin from Art Bella Creates on our Pantone Party blog tour! She is the last stop for us, so we hope you have LOVED seeing everyone's pieces. Carin's kiddo has such a fun style, we know you will love this one!

Joining in on Project Run and Play's very Peri Pantone Party. If I am honest purple and all shades of it is just not our favorite color to wear but I love a good challenge to take something and make it our own. Our girl child is very into Steampunk so I knew if I can incorporate that into our theme she will be 100% into it. Peri is definitely not Steampunk colors but we tend to be eclectic so we put our own spin onto it.

Head over to Art Bell Creates to see more of this awesome outfit!

Pantone Party with Sincerely, Shantelle

Lakeisha from Sincerely, Shantelle joins us today on our Pantone Party blog tour and we are loving what she made. Look at how sweet these two are!

Very Peri’s “spritely, joyous attitude” inspired me to create some fun, color-blocked looks for my duo with super adorbs fabrics from Art Gallery! I played around with the pinks and blues that make Pantone’s newly created color and sewed pieces that reflect each of my kiddos’ personalities. Head over to my blog for all the deets!

Pantone Party with It's Liesel

Today we have Liesel from It's Liesel joining us on our Pantone Party. We are amazed at Liesel's creativity for her Very Peri outfit! You will definitely want to see this. Here's Liesel:

My make for the Very Peri Party was inspired by this gorgeous butterfly and floral print from knitfabric.com. I had the Pantone website up on my phone, and kept checking to see what prints matched the best, and the periwinkle color spread over some of the flowers was perfect! I knew it had to be the feature. A simple solid in the same color, for the top, helps make it Periwinkle forward. The Evergreen skirt is a gorgeous piece. I knew it would be a statement, which the fabric needed. Then I got creative with the top, and used the Sorbetto Swim pattern! The cap sleeves are delicate, and make me excited to sew for spring and summer! Peri pleased with the whole outfit! Hop over to It's Liesel for see more.

Pantone Party with Sweeter Than Cupcakes

We are keeping the party going this week and are super excited to have Courtney from Sweeter Than Cupcakes join us! We love the unexpected coordinates she show for her outfits.

Pantone’s description of Very Peri is "encompassing the qualities of the blues, yet at the same time possessing a violet-red undertone." As a huge fan of lavender, I can appreciate Very Peri as a close cousin.  I was paired up with Goldie Olding Fabrics for my stop on the Very Peri Pantone Party Tour.

My kids reach for their soft knit wardrobe pieces 9 times out of 10, so that's where I focused my fabric and pattern search. I employed a bit of color blocking to customize the patterns we used including the Jingle Joggers, Chromium Cropped Hoodie, and Story Dress. Find all of the details on my blog.

Pantone Party with MaMeMiMo

Today you're in luck because Monica from MaMeMiMo joins the Pantone Party!  She is sharing the most adorable Very Peri look...check it out:

I have to admit that creating an outfit with the Pantone's 2022 Color of the year has been a challenge and I had to step out of my comfort zone. I don't like violet and rarely use it on my sewing projects. Violet is a very complicated color for me and I don't know how to match it with other colors.

I decided that the best plan was to check all the amazing fabrics included in the new Katia Fabrics catalogue and let the project flow. I chose a couple of solid fabrics to play with textures and before the fabrics arrived home the only thing that I know for sure is that the color fits my youngest better than her siblings and that I wanted to sew something for spring . After washing and ironing the fabrics, something magical happened that made me enjoy the entire process. Now I am really happy with the outfit: the color shade suits my daughter the most, she adores both garments and what's more surprising... me too! Head over to my blog to see more!

Monica used these patterns:

Cinnamon Cardigan

Pantone Party with That's Sew Kari

You know it's a good party when Kari joins!  We're delighted to have her sharing some Very Peri tween and teen looks.  Here's Kari:

Blue is one of my most sewn colors and I really love every shade.  I was excited to see Very Peri as this year’s Pantone color.  It’s such a vibrant, fun color!  Our sews were sponsored by Art Gallery Fabrics and I was excited to browse all of their collections to curate a cohesive collection for my two girls.  I started by looking at the PURE solids and immediately discovered that Amethyst is almost an exact match to the Pantone color swatch.  Then I found a fun coordinating knit - I Scream You Scream District which totally matches my younger daughter’s personality.  She needed a new Fetta (can never have too many fruit slice purses, right?!) in PURE Solid Grapefruit and lined with Oval Elements Peach Dust.

My oldest decided she wanted in on the Very Peri Party so I found Across Sparks Blue from Here Comes the Fun collection and paired it with a solid white knit.  She loves a sporty, yet trendy outfit.

All the details were a collaboration and they are in love with the end result!  We had barely started taking photos and they were planning out when they’d be wearing their new outfits to school -- at 12 (almost 13) and 11, that’s a total mom-win!  See more details on my blog HERE!

Patterns used:

Soleil Skirt (shortened for hem length preference)

Banana Boat Tee

Chromium Cropped Hoodie

Fetta Purse

Pantone Party with Call Ajaire

We're so excited to have Ajaire join the Pantone Party today!  She's showing how amazingly Very Peri combines with other colors too.  Here's Ajaire:

We are big purple/blue fans over here so this Very Peri color is perfect for us! I was excited to use some new-to-me patterns from the shop and these two dresses from Sofilantjes jumped out as just the wardrobe fillers I was looking for: The Foliis Jacket & Dress and the Via Top, Tunic, & Dress.

Knitfabric.com sponsored the fabrics and there were so many periwinkle options, it was hard to narrow down! I am so pleased with the ones the girls picked out and I was able to crossover two of the fabrics between the looks, which is always fun.

Check out all the details on the Call Ajaire blog.

Pantone Party with Jennuine Design

Today on our Very Peri blog tour, we have Jenn from A Jennuine Life. Her looks are very cool and sophisticated for her girls- you are going to love them!

Here's Jenn:

I've loved periwinkle since I was a kid digging through my box of 64 crayola crayons for the prettiest colors.  For my tween daughters I wanted to incorporate this wonderful hue without going monochromatic.  I chose a great floral, solid periwinkle, and coordinating prints from Hawthorne Supply Co.  For Arden I used the Waves & Wild Adventurer Raglan and Suco By Susana's Jingle Joggers.  Hadley loves a good dress so I went with Modkid's Aubrey.  For a fun accessory I used my free Book Bag and added a Pantone Very Peri color card graphic using HTV.

Hop over to Jenn's blog to see more!

Pantone Party with Made by Kates

We are so excited to show you the mini capsule that Katie from Made by Kates made her daughter from Art Gallery Fabrics! These Very Peri makes are super cute!

Periwinkle has long been a favorite of mine so when I saw the Pantone color of the year was Very Peri I was excited!  In fact, I even made a periwinkle dress as part of my look during season 24!  There are so many colors that play off of periwinkle and I loved looking through all the beautiful fabrics at Art Gallery to find coordinates for the color.  I settled on a capsule for my daughter using 7 Project Run and Play patterns (Noel Top, Banana Boat Tee, Chromium Hoodie, Soleil Skirt, Tin Tin shorts, Metro Pants, and the Story Pattern) and 3 different fabric bases including knit, rayon, and cotton.  The end result was just what I hoped it would be and my cute girl is absolutely thrilled with her Veri Peri spring capsule! Check out all the details and more pictures on my blog Made By Kates.

Kate used the following patterns:

Noel Dress and Top

Banana Boat Tee

Chromium Hoodie

Pantone Party with Little Cocalico

It's time for more fabric and pattern inspiration!  We're featuring a look you could make using some shades of purple fabric from Little Cocalico.  They have such an amazing selection of fabrics to choose from.  Please help us thank them for sponsoring our Pantone Party by shopping their site when you have fabric or notions needs.

We love the huge selection of fabric from Little Cocalico and if you happen to not be able to find what you're looking for, you can design your own fabric!

One cool thing about Little Cocalico is that you can choose the fabric substrate you want!  There are quite a few to choose from, imagining this Robin Dress on rayon challis with the Painted Bloom on blue for the main dress and the Painted Bloom on cream for the contrasting ruffle.  What way would you do it?

What would you make with fabric from Little Cocalico?  We can't wait to show you what one of our designers made using fabric from this awesome shop!!!

Pantone Party with Cut, Sip, Sew

It's day 2 of our Very Peri Pantone Party and we have Randi from Cut, Sip, Sew joining us. She used springy fabrics from Little Cocalico to create her look.

Here's Randi:

When I was little, all the girls in my class liked the color pink. Because I wanted to be different, I decided purple would be my favorite color. Purple is still one of my favorites so I was very excited when Pantone released the color of the year and saw it was a beautiful shade of purple. Even though we are still battling snow in the Northeast US, I went for a transitional spring look using the Soleil Skirt, Story TopChromium Hoodie and Jingle Joggers. Check out my mix and match looks on my blog

We would love to see what you would make with Very Peri or any shades of purple! Link your makes to our sew-a-long and you could win fabrics & patterns!

Pantone Party with Sew Sophie Lynn

We are so excited to start sharing makes for our Very Peri Pantone Party! Tami from Sew Sophie Lynn is first up on our blog tour and you are going to LOVE what she made using Art Gallery Fabrics

Here's Tami:

Like so many, I'm always drawn to blues of every shade and the beautiful violet-blue Very Peri was so much fun to work with.  We were sponsored by Art Gallery Fabrics and had such a hard time narrowing down our choices.  We used the vibrant Asphodel District floral as the base of our look.  The bright and fun print was perfect for the Noel Dress.  We also used Blueberry Plaid for a pair of Tin Tin shorts that will work so well with so many of her tees and tops for spring.  Paired with a Yawn tee in white linen and grey stripes, this is my sporty girls perfect way of throwing in a bit of Very Peri.  You can head to SewSophieLynn for all of the details on this cute sister look!

Tami used the following patterns:
