Cedar Coat and Cardigan & Prancer Pull On Pants Tester Pictures Round Up

Today we are featuring the pattern testers who helped us with the Cedar Coat & Cardigan and the Prancer Pull On Jeans patterns. Both of these patterns go together so well and surprisingly quick!

The Cedar Coat & Cardi pattern is for a luxe coat or cardigan with a high/low hemline and a dramatic shawl collar.  Depending on the fabric used, it could have a sleek, tailored look in a wool coating or choose something a little more casual with a flannel oversized jacket look. This pattern has a size range of 12 months- 16 years! My teenager and preschooler love how comfy this one is.

The Prancer Pull-On Jeans pattern is for stretch jeans made with woven fabric with a bit of stretch added for comfort.  These on-trend jeans have all the style lines and topstitching of traditional jeans, but with a pull-on waistband for ease of wear. The mid-rise height of the waistband sits at the belly button and has 1/4″ (6mm) elastic at the top of the curved waistband to help keep everything in place.  The front pockets extend across the front to create a pocket stay, helping to keep the pocket linings in place even with little hands reaching in and out. That means there’s no need to adjust your child’s pockets throughout the day, which is a big win in the smaller sizes.  The back patch pockets are a great place to feature a fun design to make your child’s jeans truly unique.  There are two leg options: view A is a skinny jeans leg, while view B is a stovepipe straight leg.  With sizing from newborn to 16 years and information about how to get the perfect fit, there’s a Prancer Pull-On Jeans just right for your child!

A huge thank you to our testers! We love seeing everyone's individual style. If you are sewing from the new collection Project Happy Holidays, we would love to see what you make! Please share with us in our FB group or tag us on IG: @projectrunandplay.

Evergreen, Noel, and Holly Tester Pictures Roundup

Today we are excited to share pictures from our wonderful pattern testers. The three patterns released from our own Project Run and Play designers, Audrey and Jenny, are the Evergreen Skirt PatternHolly Tee and Dress, and Noel Top and Dress

First, we will look at the Evergreen Pattern. The Evergreen Tiered Skirt is a woven skirt pattern. The comfortable fit enables hours and hours of repeated wear. The Evergreen Tiered Skirt has an elasticated waistband and inseam pockets. There are so many options (19!!!) from mini to maxi that this is a true mix-and-match pattern. Comfort level A+ and totally on trend, you’re going to end up making a whole wardrobe of these!

Everyone blew us away with their creations! They are all so beautiful.

Holly is next up. Holly offers several mix and match options, for over 20 possible combinations! Combine the simple knit bodice with other knits, wovens, or even special occasion fabrics makes Holly appropriate for any occasion. Start by choosing either a straight tee, skirted top, or vintage (above the knee) length dress.  Then add a singe flounce sleeve, double flounce sleeve, 3/4 bubble sleeve, or plain short sleeve.  Optional bodice ruffles add extra flair, and fit with either the straight or skirted bodice, and any of the sleeve options. Options to either topstitch ruffles with an exposed edge or enclosed seam.  Use the standard cut charts for knits and light weight wovens, to create an every day top with Boho vibes that are totally on trend.  Follow the “Special Occasion” cut chart to use sheer fabrics, like tulle or lace, with a lining, for a show stopping dress!

Last we will take a look at Noel. The Noel Top & Dress is a woven dress pattern. The generously easy fit enables hours and hours of repeated wear. The Noel Top & Dress has a button up back and soft scoop neck. There are 4 options for length; top, peplum, knee length dress & maxi dress. The 2 sleeve options are short or tiered. (Bonus, you can use the sleeve options from the Rosemary & Thyme Shirts too!) Comfort level A+ and totally on trend, your child will feel so elegant when wearing the Noel Top & Dress!
