Today is the day where we get to share our whole adventure all in one place! We traveled the world in the best clothing and visited the most amazing sights. So we had to gather everything together in one place and of course share it with you!
Two Posh Toddlers sews Project Jet Set
We're so sad to be on the last stop of the tour. But then we got to spend time on the Shorline of Connecticut with Tara of Two Posh Toddlers and we were absolutely on cloud nine!!! Take a seat because there's something gorgeous awaiting you:
For our Project Jet Set destination we are visiting the Shoreline of Connecticut for a day of sightseeing and shopping.
The Two Wild Dress was perfect for the weather! The strappy back is my favorite part of this design, a dash of surprise making it standout from all other sundresses. I used a bubble crepe from Sly Fox Fabrics in this tropical print that is perfect for seaside sightseeing.
I also couldn’t resist sewing the Passport to Paradise Mini Backpack which is the perfect size for tiny humans ☺️ and for storing money for shopping as well as a little snack.
To top it all off <pun intended> I made the Camper Hat which is perfect to keep the sun out of your eyes or for the random pop up shower that happens every now and then in the northeast that the meteorologist never predicted, lol! It’s always best to be prepared and this hat is perfect for that, plus it’s a super cute accessory for any outfit. I made my hat in the same linen (from So Sew English fabrics) as my mini backpack and lined both in a sweet Lecien print for sentimental value.
Thanks for joining us! You can check out more pics from our day out on the shoreline on our instagram page here: Two Posh Toddlers
Okay that's all for our world tour!!! We're so delighted with all the beautiful garments and talented designers that we made a travel journal style lookbook from our adventure. And that's what we'll be sharing with you next!
Palm Beach, Florida Outfits
We spent the weekend in Palm Beach, Florida with Kari of That's Sew Kari, and we just HAD to share the cute outfits her kids wore for the swim days! Feel free to take notes like we did...

That's Sew Kari sews Project Jet Set
And today you have found us in Palm Beach, Florida! IT was hard to leave the sunny Netherlands, but we knew more sunshine was in front of us, so we took off. We're spending a the weekend with Kari from THat's Sew Kari, and as usual we're making notes about every single thing her girls are wearing!
Welcome to Palm Beach!! Today, we're strolling through the shopping district because shopping is always fun on vacation! There's something exciting about discovering things in a new city. We love browsing the local shops, stopping in for little treats, and just seeing where the day takes us.
Today's stop features the Cruise Culottes, Rimini Romper (modified to be a crop top -- yes, please!!), the Too Wild Dress (for the wild child... haha) and last but not least -- not one, but two Passport to Paradise Mini Backpacks! We had a lot of fun searching for our fabrics from Raspberry Creek Fabrics. I love the variety of bases they offer. The Tropical Floral was our starting point and I love how it's all cohesive, yet each girls' selections completely suit them.
My contribution to the collection is the Passport to Paradise Mini Backpack. It's a bit surreal to see it come to life because I still don't consider myself to be a pattern designer. I'm very proud of how it turned out and love seeing it sewn up by others. I've sewn several now and now each new outfit leaves me wondering ... should I sew them a matching backpack? Yes, the answer is yes!
Head over to my blog to read all the details! Then, come back Monday for some fun in the sun in Palm Beach and to see the rest of the collection I sewed for my girls.
Jong Design sews Project Jet Set
Today we are visiting the Netherlands after our beautiful day in Spain yesterday! We have the absolute pleasure to spend the day with Marieke of Jong Design and her kids roaming the countryside. After you read her thoughts about this, you'll start looking at your backyard much differently too!
Most people like to go on vacation to a different country and forget how beautiful their own country is. Let’s go on vacation in your own neighborhood and try to look at it if you are seeing your environment for the first time. The place my children and I went is 2 minutes away from our house in the Netherlands and we are more often go there for a walk. I told my children we where going to pretend being tourists and they came up with the idea bringing their own camera and the binoculars. It was actually pretty special to see them changing and they where really looking forward to go for this walk- even when we left thousands and thousands of steps there already. We had a lot of fun, saw things we never noticed before and it was just beautiful. We are absolutely going to do this more often!
I sewed them all a garment that can be worn in daily life as well on vacation. The Reef Beach Rashie pattern isn’t only perfect for on the beach, it’s great for making tee’s and sweaters as well! Together with the Singapore Shorts, my sons are having a great new outfit. The Cruise Culottes I want to have myself as well; comfortable and made for playing or for going somewhere. They can be worn with a sweater or on warmer days with The Sevilla Top its just perfect.
When people think of the Netherlands they mostly thinking of Amsterdam, the mills, the wooden shoes and tall people. They aren’t wrong of course, but when you know about the diversity here: it’s so green and water is everywhere, the woods, the heathland, the shifting-sand and of course the ocean. The world is so beautiful.
That's is for our lovely day in the Netherlands. Be sure to head over to Jong Design to check out more from this lovely countryside exploration!
We'll see you in a new location next...
MaMeMiMo sews Project Jet Set
And now you have found us in Spain!! We had such a good time in Guatemala that we decided to work on our Spanish just a little bit more, so here we are!
We are taking our hats off to Monica of MaMeMiMo and here's why:
Monica sewed up Camper Hats for her entire family!! What beautiful and fun hats!
Monica found these beautiful fabrics from I love Kutchi, aren't they so fun?
Be sure to head over to MaMeMiMo to see the insides of these Camper Hats and modeled on her cute kiddos.
Where do you think we're jetting off to next?
Jenny Sews Project Jet Set
After spending a gorgeous day with Audrey in Cancun, we're making another stop in Central America, just a hop, skip and jump away in Guatemala!
We're with Jenny from Made of Starlite, and you just have to see the beautiful garments she made for the occasion. Here's Jenny:
Such fun and colorful Saltillo Swimsuits! We are going to Guatamala! We've definitely found some new staples in this collection. 😄 (Hello Singapore Shorts!!) Shout out to Susana for drafting a pattern based on my 5-year-old's absolute favorite pants. 😍 It's good to have sewing friends!
A waffle knit Cancun Cover Up with tassels galore!
I also helped design the Saltillo Swimsuit, which is probably super obvious since it has a million ruffle options. 😆 Check out my Instagram for all the looks, including some swimsuits using patterns not originally drafted as swim!
Jenny used fabric from The Fabric Fairy to create these gorgeous swim suits, and we're just dyyyyyying over them!
Well that's it for our time in Central America! We'll see you soon in our next exciting location.
Audrey Sews Project Jet Set
It's Day 12 and we're delighted to be spending time Cancun with Audrey from Skirt Fixation!
Just check out all those fun and colorful makes from the Project Jet Set pattern collection! She managed to sew up at least one thing from every pattern...let's hear more:
I absolutely adore this latest collection! I just couldn't stop sewing it and ended up making 20 things from the Project Jet Set patterns! Let's start with the boys swimwear looks.
All 3 are wearing Reef Beach Rashies on top. Oh, and do you see the lizard from the Cancun travel poster on one of them?
The baby is wearing PB Swim Shorties on bottom, in the long, non-ruched version.
To top it off, all 3 are wearing Camper Hats! The two older boys are sewn from board shorts fabric, so they'll work in the water too.
The 2 older boys are wearing Singapore Shorts made from board shorts fabric too! There are swim bottom linings underneath, watch for a tutorial on that coming soon.
The boys are also wearing Cancun Cover Ups! (Baby got one too, but was being particularly decisive about which pictures he was going to attend and which ones he declined the invitation...so you'll have to go over to Skirt Fixation to see his!)
Big sister got a Sevilla Top made from rib knit. She chose to pair this with an Evergreen Skirt (you could achieve a similar look from the Cruise Culottes, but she's out of that size range.) made from rayon challis from Raspberry Creek Fabrics.
She's also sporting a Passport to Paradise Mini Backpack! (Better look over at Skirt Fixation, you'll want to see more!)
Big Sister also got a new Saltillo Swimsuit with a flounce and strap ruffles! She really fell in love with the PB Swim Shorties after seeing them on her baby brother, but was way out of that size range. (I told her to stop growing, but...) So we achieved a similar look using the Rimini Romper by starting cutting at the waistline and using the instructions from the PB Swim Shorties to add side ruching!
Little Sister got a new swim set too. She's wearing a color blocked Saltillo Swimsuit! And on the bottom, those are the Cruise Culottes made from boardshorts fabric.
Finally, Little Sister hit the jackpot with a new Overlook Woven Raglan! (You MUST see the details on this one!)
And of course checking the spinnability of the new Too Wild Dress was top priority.
Head over to Skirt Fixation for more photos and details on this colorful Cancun look.
All the swim and board shorts fabric plus the rayon challis for the Evergreen Skirt are from Raspberry Creek Fabrics. There's a very good reason for this: when you need very high quality fabric for a very reasonable price, you turn to Raspberry Creek Fabrics!
That's it for a dozen days of amazing worldwide looks from the Project Jet Set pattern collection! Where you do you think we're heading next?
Jennuine Design sews Project Jet Set
It's Day 11 and we're in Heaven because we've made it to the in the Italian countryside with Jenn from Jennuine Design!
Her girls were dressed in the most chic outfits for our Italian adventure! First we rambled around the countryside and ended up exploring Verona.
We toured the stunning old town while these girls wore their Overlook Woven Raglans and Cruise Culottes. Plus they topped it off very smartly with Camper Hats!
Next we ambled over to Vicenza where we were treated to more idyllic and historical views. One of the girls had changed into a Rimini Romper and the other made a smashing hit in a Sevilla Top and Too Wild Dress.
Jenn said she's gotten all her fabrics from Raspberry Creek Fabrics, and we can certainly see why she chose them! Amazing quality and perfectly suited for a day in the Italian countryside (or any countryside!)
Be sure to head over to Jennuine Design to see all the details on these looks and more!
Where do you think we're heading next?
Sardinia Again on Day 10!
Since our flight was delayed, we get to spend a second day in Sardinia!!! So of course we scheduled another hike with Ajaire from Call Ajaire!
Check out what her daughter was sporting today:
Look at that stunning Rimini Romper! That's the kind of clothes they'll wear and wear, and remember when they're adults too!
Plus on her back is the most divine Passport to Paradise Mini Backpack! Every single one of these we've seen we immediately want to replicate! And check out the removeable wallet with the Life was meant for adventure digital design on it!!! Would it be okay to make one of these for an adult? Asking for a friend! ;)
Once again we HAD to know where Ajaire got her stunning fabrics, and she shared it: Little Cocalico. We're so glad to know about this source of fabric that is high quality and offers custom fabric printing on 21 different bases!
Be sure to head over to Call Ajaire for more photos and details.
We were SO glad for the extra day in such a gorgeous location with such good friends, but tomorrow we're heading off for a new destination...wanna come along?
Call Ajaire Sews Project Jet Set
Following our super fun day in Lisbon with Suco by Susana, we headed over to Sardinia for Day 9 on our Project Jet Set adventure. On this Italian island in the Mediterranean Sea, we met up with Ajaire of Call Ajaire and her girls for a fun day hike!
As we've come to expect from Ajaire, her girls were decked out in the CUTEST clothes from the Project Jet Set pattern collection. We just had to know more details...
Sardinia is known for its gorgeous sea views, but maybe less known is that it has amazing hiking. Rocky cliffs blend with lush greenery and tropical flowers. So my thoughts behind choosing this spot was that the girls would be hiking up a rocky trail, looking at the vegetation along the way.
And then there's this cutie! She's wearing a Rimini Romper made from swim fabric from knitfabric.com
You'll want to be sure to do 2 things: 1 - head over to knitfabric.com and pick up some amazing fabric for yourself!
Suco by Susana sews Project Jet Set
And we're off again! We loved visiting Tokyo with Lindsay, and now we're in Lisbon for Day 8 of our Project Jet Set travels!
We got the royal tour of Lisbon from Susana of Suco by Susana, and her kids were wearing such fun clothes from the Project Jet Set pattern collection. We asked her more about them.
Comfortable shorts and lightweight pants with knit tops are perfect for the warm and sunny weather, so for Joana I made the Singapore pants in a cotton/linen blend from Katia paired with a Sevilla top. Luís' favorite combination this spring is Singapore shorts with Lemon tees, so he got some shorts in lightweight denim and in cotton/linen woven, and Lemon tees in cotton jersey.
To protect from the sun, a Camper Hat is an essencial and this one has been used every day since I sewed it. The hat is reversible, on one side I used pink soft canvas and on the other this tie dye woven from Katia Fabrics. I hacked the pattern a bit to make the brim wider and Joana loves it.
I think the Passport to Paradise Mini Backpack is the cutest bag that I've ever sewn. Really. Sewing bags is always a challenge for me (as I'm definitely more a garment sewist), and I took my time making this one, to make sure that it came out perfect, and it did. I used the same pink canvas from the hat paired with other fabrics and it made a gorgeous mini backpack. It has the perfect size to take a few essencials, a water bottle and the small purse included in the pattern.
The Cruise Culottes in denim blue lyocell from Katia look super cute. I LOVE these culottes and would like to have some for myself too. The pattern has different length options and sews up very quickly.
I also made a Rimini Dress in knee length with the waist tie. This pattern has a beautiful fit with princess seams, contoured back, faux wrap skirt, a lined bodice and a scooped back.
The Too Wild Dress looks beautiful made in this double gauze from Katia. The gathered skirt has a lot of volume and feels wonderful in this soft fabric.
We're planning to shop at Katia when we get back home! And be sure to head over to Suco by Susana for lots more fun photos and information about their adventure.
Any guesses where we're headed next? See you there!
PA Country Crafts sews Project Jet Set
We're so excited to be in Tokyo on Day 7 of our Project Jet Set journey! There we discovered Lindsay from PA Country Crafts in the most beautiful flower garden. We just HAD to know more about the gorgeous clothes her girls were wearing!
Waves & Wild sews Project Jet Set
It's Day 6 of our adventure, and we're so delighted to be visiting Australia!!!
After a super fun weekend in Greece with SewSophieLynn, we hopped down to the Land Down Under where we landed in Albany/Kinjarling. There we got the grand tour from Sarah of Waves and Wild!
Sarah and her darling boys took us to the beach at Gull Rock and was it ever beautiful!!
Despite to cooler temperatures, the boys all donned their PB Swim Shorties and had the time of their lives! We contented ourselves to sit on the beach and stare at the beautiful water.
While we were in Australia, we just HAD to stop by Clover & Co Fabrics. We not only saw the super fun swim fabrics that Sarah used in her PB Shorties, but we got to see her huge selection of fabulous fabric. (And we're so glad she ships internationally because we couldn't fit everything we loved in our suitcase either!)
That put Day 6 in the books. Tomorrow we're headed off by boat...where do you think we'll land?
