As some of you may (or may not) know that we are the ladies behind Project Run and Play. But it hasn't always been that way.
We competed in Season 2 and loved every second of it---the themes, the sewing, and the other women in the competition. Back then there were no prizes---it was just sewing for the love of sewing. And love it we did. For us it was sewing heaven. So when we had the chance to purchase Project Run and Play we jumped at it and have been having a wonderful time over there making changes, starting a sew along group, and adding prizes ever since. To have a dedicated place devoted only to sewing children's clothing is awesome.
But almost from the beginning we knew that Project Run and Play would need a sister site.
Behind the scenes Elizabeth and I always have more sewing going on than just children's clothing...although we rarely share it. Sure, we give you sneak peeks of our sewing every now and then but we've kept it pretty much wraps until now. Today we are officially launching Project Sewn. A site dedicated only to sewing women's clothing!!!
And because of that launch we want to do a HUGE giveaway!!!!
See how huge?
One lucky person is going to win almost everything they need for an entire sewing studio. (You supply the table and we have most of the rest of the things you will need to start making beautiful things!) The retail value of the prizes is well-over $650 dollars--seriously great stuff!!!!
The winner will receive:

ReplyDeleteProject Sewn - such a great idea. Thanks for the giveaway!!
ReplyDeleteSo much great stuff! I would love to win this to supply my craft room. My favorite tool has got to be my rotary cutter. (also my seam ripper, unfortunately).
ReplyDeleteJessica
Couldn't do it without my rotary cutter!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite sewing tool is probably my rotary cutter; I use it on straight and curved lines, pretty much anything over three inches and I'm grabbing for it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for such a great giveaway!
My favorite tool is probably also my rotary cutter and mat, like jess said above. But a dress form? Yes, please! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteMy serger - i use it for almost everything i sew!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite tool is scissors. With scissors, you can start anything. Good scissors are hard to come by and maintain.
ReplyDeleteA sewing table and drafting table to spread out on. Preferably in place that it can stay that way permanently.

I love my cutting mat and rotor- it makes repetitive cutting so much easier!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite tool is my rotary mat/cutter. I went about a year cutting with scissors and when I got mine it changed my sewing life. No joke. I want to get rotary cutters in every size.
ReplyDeleteMy rotary cutter is my favorite tool! Thanks for the giveaway...I really need a dress form!
ReplyDeleteWow....there is going to be one happy woman out there when this is announced!
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome! I could really use a great dress form! This is so great!!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I can pick just one tool. I use my rotary cutter all the time, so it is definitely a favorite.

ReplyDeleteA dress form! Wow! That'd be a whole new level.
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of my needle threader. It's especially handy for my blankets when I tie them. Really speeds up the process!
ReplyDeleteMy new super sharp scissors :) Seems silly, but I've been cutting with junk for way too long, and it's so nice to have scissors that cut well :)
ReplyDeleteMy rotary cutter.
ReplyDeleteMy singer scissors..they make such a difference.
ReplyDeleteAwesome giveaway. I actually just found my grandmothers nippers. They aren't very sharp but I feel connected to her.

ReplyDeleteSeam ripper :)
ReplyDeleteI am such a newbie to sewing, but I would have to say that I do get pleasure out of my seam ripper because I make that many not-so-straight line mistakes.
ReplyDeleteI love love love my rotary cutter and mat. It's so much quicker and more accurate for me than scissors.
ReplyDeleteI love my sewing machine, although I am still learning how to use it.
ReplyDeleteI love my magnetic pin holder. Makes grabbing pins and putting them back so much easier!

ReplyDeleteEeeee! Congratulations on this fantastic new direction, Liz and Elizabeth! So excited to see where it will take you!
DeleteDuh. Left this comment before looking at the terms for entry, so came back and deleted this so I could properly answer the question. So... my favorite sewing tool is my walking foot. It's integrated in my machine so it's engaged about 99% of the time without my realizing it. Until I disengage it and notice the difference.
Niiiiiiiiiice! :) everybody is liked on fb! Woo hoo.
ReplyDeleteBesides my sewing machine I love my high cutting table. I hate crawling on the floor to cut things out.
ReplyDeleteI have a great pair of scissors that I can't live without. I just moved far away from my mom and I no longer have access to a sewing machine. I NEED to win. Thanks for the opportunity.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite sewing tool is my rotary cutter!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway! My favorite tool is probably my tweezers. I use them for threading my machines. I also love my little scissors. I just love all kinds of sewing tools.
ReplyDeleteNext to my awesome sewing machine, I would have to say my favorite tool is my rotary cutter. It is a great time saver and I use it for cutting fabric out for clothing as well as for quilting.
ReplyDeleteExciting news! Can't wait to see what's in store at Project Sewn! My favorite sewing tool is probably my ruffle foot. I can't imagine the extra hours I would have to spend making ruffles without it!

ReplyDeleteI am so excited about the new site. I don't do enough sewing for myself and this should help motivate me. My favorite tool has to be my seam ripper - I am really into repurposing things lately and that is most easily done with a seam ripper :)
ReplyDeleteI think my favorite tool is my sewing basket. My Grandma gave it to me when I turned 16. It's not that big, but I'll never get rid of it. After that, my tape measure and yardstick, then the rolls of brown packing paper from $Tree. Perfect for making patterns.
ReplyDeleteSeam ripper... haha!
ReplyDeleteWhat a crazy awesome giveaway! Oh to have a dress form :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is my serger! now i just need to expand my knowledge on it!!!

ReplyDeleteOh what a wonderful prize. My most favorite sewing studio tool would be really hard to answer. I sew every day and would probably have to say my retractable sewing tape. Even when I am just thinking about sewing I generally have it in my hand playing with it like a kid. ;)
ReplyDeletePhyllis
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay! (My response if I won this contest.) My favorite tool is my rotary cutter. I learned to sew with scissors, but I don't know that I would have picked it up again as an adult with kids, job, etc. if I hadn't discovered this amazing, time saving tool.
ReplyDeleteto win a dress form would be a dream !
ReplyDeleteMy rotary cutter is my favorite tool. I can't cut a clean line without it!
ReplyDeleteMy sewing machine. My second would be an ironing board i made out of a wood TV table that is right by my side at the sewing machine. I am in a wheel chair and this cut down on wheeling over to the large ironing board when i just needed to press open a seam. Huge time saver

ReplyDeleteMy favorite sewing tool is definitely my rotary cutter. I don't know how I ever lived without it!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite tool is my iron and wall mounted ironing board. The first thing I always do when I walk into my sewing room is turn on my iron so it can start getting hot. My iron helps me mark even hems, rescue recycled fabric, keep projects, neat and a host of other things crucial to sewing/crafting. Thanks for the awesome giveaway.

ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! This would just blow my mind to win. All my neighbors would know something had happened because they would see me dancing up and down the street, lol.
ReplyDeleteMy fav tool? Hmmm, that's tough. Probably a pen. It's not really a sewing tool but I draw on my fabric sometimes to know where I'm going to cut. It also gives me the ability to draw my designs on paper which can help me visualize what shapes to cut out of my fabric. :-)
